This forum has been a sleep for a while- but if your are still listening Car_man, My brother is in the market for a T&C and is considering the Touring and also possibly Limited. Do you have the current captive Residual and MF for each for 36 months, 15k miles. And if there is some special term please advise (24 or 27 or 39 month specials). thanks gperr

Thanks - i'm in NJ and am trying to convince the wife to look at a minivan but it's been a struggle. I did walk in to a dealership yesterday and was chatting high level stuff with the salesman. He told me there weren't any discounts - another reason you need to be educated when you walk in to talk to these guys...Looks like you can get 0% for 5 + approximately $2k cash back based on Chryslers website.

Ok, I have been lurking for months and neg with Chrysler Dealerships all over New England. So I felt compelled to list my deal. Might I add, one dealer near Boston was so difficult to deal with in person and over the internet I finally said screw it and bought in NJ. My SS is a nice as their Limited and has exact features but they wouldnt budge past 31000 so I bought a loaded 08 Chrysler AWD Signature Series for 27999 with 64 miles. Lists price on the car was 38,930. This is with full 3 year 36000 miles and Lifetime Powertrain. I am not sure if this was the best deal out there but it was the best deal I could get near me with all the features I wanted. So far I love it. But I dread buying snow tires for those 19" rims. I also cant get my siruis to work. So did I get burnt?

So I decided to purchase a silver coupe with gray interior if I could find one, and I did. The dealer purchased one from a chrysler auction and would sell me the car for $21,500 with the 39 months/39k bumper to bumper warranty. I floundered on purchasing the car and lost the deal. He sold it to someone else. As I continued to find another car in and around nj, I realized there are no more left in this area in the color I wanted. One black with the brick and gray interior ($23,995), and a dealer with a silver one with the brick and gray interior and wanted $30,0000. So I wound up finding a used 2008 silver coupe with 9k on the clock with the 36months/36k bumper to bumper and 6 years 80k powertrain warranty from the dealer starting the day I picked the car up if I purchased it. AND I DID!!! For $17,500. So tell me, did I screw up by not purchasing the new one or made a decent deal on purchasing the used one?

We just bought a 'new' 08 Limited in Canada, so prices are not on par. We paid $36,000 (taxes were extra). At the time, the Canadian Dollar was trading at 79 cents US, so we paid about $28,000US. Ours was tricked out with Nav system, Uconnect, dual rear entertainment system, backup camera, rear-parking assist, sunroof, swivel'n go seating, power third row stow'n go seating, power lift gate, leather, color matched running boards, upgraded fender guards, chrome door plates, color-matched rubber floor mats for all three rows of seating, towing group, class 3 mopar 2" trailer hitch, 17" wheels with chrome-cladding, and pretty much everything else. I am THRILLED with this vehicle! I am a pretty tough critic, and there are certainly a few short-comings with this vehicle, but on the whole, the 08 T&C Limited (loaded) is an unadulterated TRIUMPH in family shutling technology. I do want to make a few recomondations to owners: 1. Get a quality chrome plated or mirror-finished stainless steal trim kit for your pillar posts (be sure to order the 6 piece version). I got mine out of California, and for only $60, it made the van look like a million dollars! 2. Get a quality chrome plated or mirror-finished stainless steal trim kit for the fenders. I got mine form NJ, and for only $80, they really bring the chrome theme on the vehicle to a triumphant completion. 3. Get the Mygig Lockpick module (be sure to get the original and not a cheap knockoff). It disables certain annoying safety features. With this unit installed, you can watch movies on the front screne WHILE in drive, you can search addresses, WHILE in drive, you can turn on the backup camera WHILE in drive, plus much much more. Now my wife (front passenger seat) and all the kids in the back seats can watch the same movie at the same time while we are on the road! 4. Add the mopar blind spot detection system to your side mirrors (can be had for about $480 on the net) - this is the best piece piece of safety technology since the invention of the airbag and will no doubt be mandatory on all vehicles in the future. 5. Sing your praises loud and proud! This vehicle is an American success story. I looks incredible. It drives very well. It is proof positive that the US can understand its customers and fill their needs!
