Buying a car from a BMW Car Dealer
I know all you guys are always wondering on what other dealers are offering for leases.... I just signed paper work today to order a 535 xi with premium 1 package, heated front seats, navigation, ipod adaptor and sirus radio. MSRP was 59,000. Car was sold for 500 over invoice. With NJ taxes and 4000 out of pocket on a 36 month 10k lease my payment comes to $670 a month......and they even are eating my last payment on my old 3series coming off lease. What do you guys think? Does this seam like a reasonable deal?
I live in Nj and always use MSD's it is a great return on the money, I do not believe you can title the car in NY and use msd's. i know ny dealers do not quote msd's because i tried to buy from one in the past
Philadelphia, PA. However, I purchased the vehicle at Open Road BMW in Edison, NJ.
The 2012 35d will not be available until October, there are varying theories as to why the diesel is being held back, but the bottom line is that it's a 2011 until then. I bought a 2011 35d on March 31st. I found a Platinum Grey with Black interior at a dealer about 1 hour from my home (Open Road BMW in Edison,NJ), here are the details: Premium Pkg Convenience Pkg Technology Pkg Cold Weather Pkg Rear Climate Pkg Roof Rails Running Boards IPod/USB & Satellite Radio MSRP - $61,825 Paid - $54,033 Negotiated to within a couple hundred of invoice then included the Eco Credit (which is extended at least through May) to end up at just over $54k. I also used Bank of America (3.49% for 72 months is advertised, actual APR ended up at 3.67% - still better than BMW Financial's 4.9% for 72 months on the diesel). The 2012 will include a few more options (in a config similar to the one above) for about the same price; but I didn't want to wait until October for BMW Apps, Comfort Access Key and a HiFi system. The diesel will work out for me as well...even at around $.20 more per gallon than gasoline, I'll save $600 per year, driving 2k miles per month (23 mpg for diesel vs. 19 mpg for gasoline). Plus the torque on the diesel is outstanding!
Car_man: Please let me know if this deal sounds correct. 2011 BMW 335xi loaner with 6K miles. Original MSRP $51, 500. Purchase price $43,400. 27 months, 10K per year. Residual $34,130.30, Money factor .00160. NJ taxes. $467.37 a month $2,290.15 at signing. Residual should be 70%. BMW bank fee $750, Dealer Doc fee $150 included in above. Do the numbers add up?
