Buying a car from a Chrysler Car Dealer
Hi Car_Man, Could you please provide pertinent lease details for Chrysler Town & Country, either touring or limited? I'm interested in 27 mo lease but only if they offer a "good" residual and money factor in comparison to 24 and 36 as they have traditionally for Chrysler for years past. Thanks! woodhout
I would say you are getting hosed and find a new dealer to buy the next 3 from. According to NADA, your Durango is worth (TRADE IN) a minimum of 16250 without any options added in, and over 18000 with options added. The van is high mileage and a bottom line version. You should be able to get a new one for not much more than that. I bought my 08 Grand Caravan SXT new for 25,445 after best pricing and rebates ect., and it stickered for almost 34,000.. The dealer I bought from has 14 T&C and 14 GC vans listed on their web page right now and none of them are over 27,350 best priced. I am way out in the middle of nowhere North Dakota, but I will list their web site so you can have a look if you want. www.minotchrysler.com
Am I Chuck or Larry? Get me an EP code and I'll let you choose.... :) Seriously though, I know you are all out, but do you have a connection to someone who may be able to hook me up..? I need to make the deal by Thursday night. I have a deal righ tnow on the table. 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan, with 25L package leased out at $340.00 a month TAX IN. I think that with the EP program and can get the 08 T&C Sig series at that rate.....What do you think..?
I'm not sure mary is correct, I'd think you'd get a better deal financing than paying cash. Dealers get a chunk of change when they provide the financing. I could be wrong but, you might get your best deal going with financing and then just paying the whole thing off right away. And aren't some of the incentives are based upon you using Chrysler financing? Sorry, I guess I consider a "cash deal" one in which you aren't trading something in. I think all dealers like the "straight shot" pricing instead of having to play the trade-in value game. Of course dealers like trade-ins too because they resell your car for profits, but a deal in which the only debate is the price of the car is a sure profit for them whereas a trade-in is not a certain profit. Another thing they like about cash deals is that sometimes they "think" they have made a sale, and then the financing does not go through, and the salesman gets his hopes dashed. I believe you both are correct in that I think dealers do get some incentive for selling the financing. This happened to me when I was talking numbers at a Hyundai dealership this fall. In addition to a small rebate, there was an extra rebate of $500 only if you financed through Hyundai. I asked the appropriate questions and found that you could pay it off after a short period of time (3 months I think) minus a certain fee, and that is was in your favor to finance it for the short period of time and take the extra rebate, even with the tacked on fee. The salesman was definitely pushing for me to finance. I am sure they do get some bonus for selling financing, or they would not do it. The dealers will have to decide between the value of a sure sale and modester profit verses a questionable sale with a greater profit.
Hi all...... Just bought a used 2006 Pacifica touring......22.200 miles....13,900$ pluss all the bull....fees and taxe u know. I have to say the car handles and drives awesome........its big, spacious, comfortable and i think it has a nice style to it. BUT.........after a week or two........everything started falling apart it it. suspension has crazy noise.....went to the dealer 8 times already they cant fix it. And they have certified mechanics yeah right.......whatever....bunch of lazy monkeys. Now the cruise contro dont work....some type of vacume pomp or something they will replace..............2 day ago while driving my passenger window came down......lucky it didnt brake. The DEALER IS GARDEN STATE JEEP AND CHRYSLER IN LONG ISLAND NEW YORK.......stay away from them......their service is horrible.they say they replaced the parts but never did......bunch of scammers.
