Re: Need advice to get this car at a decent lease price [gasjenn] by donnaq216 on Sat Dec 05 21:37:58 PST 2009

Hello- I am looking to lease the 2010 XC90. I currently have 6 mos left on my 07 Nissan Pathfinder lease...I'm debating to purchase at the end of the lease and then private party resale. My purchase option is $14500 but KBB is lower than that, and I have cash in hand and want to offer $11000 cash to the dealer...6 months from now...not sure if it will work, but I am a good negotiator and got a good deal on my lease. Currently online I saw the 2010 XC90 is MSRP 37500 with a lease of 559/mo, but that is with $3k down and 12k/year. Not acceptable to me....definitely something I would squeeze passed them. -OR- Thinking I should finish up my Nissan lease, give it back to them, and take my cash towards the XC90. The only issue with that is I'm pretty close to my mileage limits on my lease. (Lease ends June 2010) Any suggestions or comments please :) Donna

Re: The 3.2L FWD version is now available [yurko] by volvomax on Fri Aug 14 17:38:24 PDT 2009

When comparing gas mileage you have to compare vehicles of similar size and ability. The Venza is really a station wagon, it isn't a crossover and can't really do the off road thing. Also, the OP insisted that there were larger SUV's that got better mileage than the XC60 and I think I proved that there really aren't any. Finally, if you don't need AWD OR a 281 hp engine, Volvo recently introduced the XC60 3.2 FWD. 27 mpg highway!

Remember that the salespeople don't set purchase OR trade figures. Management does. Obviously, how a salesperson chooses to serve up the numbers can have a profound effect on your experience.

Hi jonnyboy7. Volvo is currently offering 0% financing for up to 3 years, 1.9% for 4years, 2.9% for 5 years, or 3.9% for 6 years OR a special lease program OR $4,250 dealer cash on the 2008 XC90. Car_man Host Prices Paid: Buying & Leasing Experiences Forum

Lease new S60 and S80 or buy out old, leases? by s60leaser on Sun Feb 24 09:18:19 PST 2008

Hi Car Man, My 2 Volvo leases are up in June. I am happy to buy them out OR lease new ones-My main concern is COST. Here are the #s S-80-2.5Tawd,leather,40K miles(by June) 1)My Cost to buy out lease:$24,000 plus 5% interest rate /5 year loan on $ I would use to buy,or $481/Mo,total Interest paid over life of loan=$3,200. 2) My cost to turn in car, $2kmileage,$2Krepairs- $1K allowance=$3,000 3)Kelly Blue Book Value=Trade-$16.2,PrivParty-$18.8,Retail-$22.7 4) My cost to lease a new s80, which is what I would do, for a similarly equipped car and 36 m,15K lease I estimate at $450/mo, but have done very little research. S60 2.5Tawd,leather,30kmiles (by June) 1) My cost to buy out lease=$20,400 plus 5% interest rate /5 year loan on $ I would use to buy, or $384/mo.Total Interest paid over loan=$2700 2) My cost to turn in car= $3K repairs less $1K repair allowance=$2,000 3) Kelly BBValue=Trade-$15.8,privPrty-$18.2,Retail-$22.1 4) My cost to lease a new s-60, similarly equipped, 36M, 15K, which I would do, is approx. $350-$400/mo, but I have done very little research. So,do I start shopping or buy the cars-or just one of them-when the lease is up in June? I am trying to reduce my expenses- and I have 3 teenage drivers in the family(that explains all the repair costs...) Any help is much appreciated.
