2010 Acadia Purchase by sbowyer on Fri Jan 15 10:23:17 PST 2010

My wife and I are looking at a couple of 2010 Acadias and are concerned that we are not getting the best prices. We are in Central Florida. Here is what I am looking at: 2010 Black Acadia FWD SLT-1, Carbon Black, Cashmere Interior Dual Sunroofs, no other options. Sale Price - $40,225 after $730 discount. OR 2010 Metalic Brown FWD SLT-1, Cashmere Interior Dual Sunroof and towing package Sale Price - $41,285 after discount I would like to knock about $2,000 off if possible, but neither dealer is working with me right now. Any ideas??

Acadia SLT-2 Price Paid by griesemer1 on Tue Mar 24 14:24:27 PDT 2009

Acadia SLT-2 AWD HID Headlamps Tech Pkg 19" Wheels Trailer Pkg Cargo Pkg MSRP $43,845 Consumer Reports Dealer Price Est. $38,400 Paid $38,600 ($40,600 less $2,000 lease incentive) I figure the dealer probably cleared ~$2,000 on the deal, which seems fair since he has to deliver to me out of state. If you can find an Acadia with a qualified VIN (mine was not eligible), there is a "March Clean Sweep Overage" cash-to-dealer incentive of $1,500. Ask the dealer if he has any VINs that qualify. Otherwise, go to gmprograminfo, call the 800 number and ask if your VIN qualifies. There are also $2,250 of incentives OR 0% financing. I took the 0%. But if you paid cash on a qualified VIN, are in a lease that is expiring soon, and negotiate a little harder than I did, you could probably walk out the door with something similar at $34,000. That's almost $10,000 less than MSRP.

Rebate and Extra "Old Age" Cash by beach15 on Sun Sep 02 19:07:33 PDT 2007

Right now, there's a $2000 consumer rebate, and on top of that, if it's old stock (as a lot are, it's just pick and choose to find one), there's either another $2000 from GM (invoiced between 11/12/06 and 1/10/07) OR an extra $4000 cash from GM (invoiced between 12/1/05 and 11/11/06). Of course, if you've already looked on Edmunds, you've probably seen this, but it's worth mentioning again, especially with people getting larger and larger discounts. Typical going rate (sans rebates) should immediately be invoice or around $500 or so under that (depends on the actual holdback and how badly they really want it gone), then minus any of the extra cash. There actually seems to be quite a few of them nationwide that have been sitting long enough to get even the bigger $4000 extra old age cash, at least based on dealer ads. And even if not old, there's still an enough of an '07 abundance (at least in most parts) that dealers are doing all that they can as usual to get them out.

Yukon Lease help by mjbrady77 on Mon May 21 21:14:16 PDT 2007

I am interested in leasing a Yukon SLT. The dealer told me I could only get $1,500 of the GM incentive, since it is a lease. Does this sound correct or should a lessee get $2,500? Here are the details, please let me know if the deal sounds good.... MSRP - $50,175 Sale Price - $46,111 48 months/15,000 miles/$0 down/7.7 sell rate/52% residual - $673 p/month OR MSRP - $50,175 Sale Price - $46,111 39 months/15,000 miles/$0 down/7.7 sell rate/59% residual - $685 p/month Thanks for the advice!!!
