Ford's lease calc by subearu on Fri Apr 01 20:00:12 PDT 2011

Did a "build your own" on the Ford website for a 4wd XLT with rapid spec 202a, nav, blis, floor mats, dual panel moonroof, power lift gate, towing pkg, 20" wheels for a MSRP of $42,065. Just so happens the dealer near me has one like this on the lot, but the Ford inventory shows it as "dealer ordered". They have a payment calculator based on that price showing a lease for 2yr 10,500 miles/year with $4k down or trade at a monthly rate of $433 per month. On the surface, is their lease decent? Seems like it is subsidized or just a real favorable residual, but they don't show that on their calculator. I know our trade would yield the $4k, and I would expect to NOT pay MSRP either. -Brian

got my FFH last month by subearu on Fri Apr 02 14:26:00 PDT 2010

No special financing or deals for the Hybrid right now though, but did fairly well considering. Got a 5% loan (excellent credit) through USBank and got the car with the 502A (nav, leather, moonroof) in Sterling Gray for about $750 under sticker. -Brian

Thanks Mark? Or mschmal? :) The state determined the paperwork was in fact shady. And I did go to the State Consumer Protection dept. actually! But I never felt like I wanted to get a lawyer involved although it was close because of teh arrogance or feigned innocence of the dealer. Shame on me for forgetting to update this on here So cccompson was exactly correct in what I ended up with. The State of WI in their investigation determined basically that I was wronged on this. Although they stated the paperwork was not filled out properly by the dealer which led to the confusion. Duh!! So they contacted the dealer and then contacted me. The dealer Gordie Boucher Ford in Menominee Falls, WI. offered to settle with me by proposing three options. 1. They would give me $300 cash. 2. They would pay the $100 deductible during my extended warranty period. 3. They would extend the full ESP for an additional year. The State of WI. representitve told me that option #3 would be best for me because it would be just like another year on my original warranty. I politely explained to her that is not true as the ESP as good as it is does not cover everything bumper to bumper and also comes with a $100 deductable. So while the ESP is great it's not quite the same I explained. Anyways, sorry to explain this so many months later and Mark I certainly appreciate your input man! I decided to accept option #3 which gets me very close to where I should have been to start with. I am comfortable with this solution but dissapointed that the dealer made me do this. They could have simply offered this to me after my original complaint and we would have been good.

Got my 09 this week - Sweet little truck! by baraboodad on Sat Aug 30 21:36:05 PDT 2008

Got my white suede loaded Limited I4 09 Escape. Great little truck! Seat feels good to drive in, and tons of buttons to play with, I mean use! Plenty of power to merge on to freeway or get in front of trouble, etc. Didn't get the pretty but expensive Nav system. But the Voice Sync controls work great anyway. Linked my phone to Sync in less than 30 seconds, works great. Now I never even take my phone out of my pocket to make and receive calls. Love the Audiophile sound system, too! Koenecke Ford in Reedsburg, WI did a really good job of getting it for us. Nice job, Ford! http://a332.g.akamai.net/f/332/936/12h/www.edmunds.com/media/townhall/webxicons/- - emotorcons/emo_shades.gif

Not mine, but it's a beauty (sigh) by baraboodad on Sun Aug 17 19:15:43 PDT 2008

Seen in Wisconsin Dells, WI this weekend. Was bought at Capital Ford, in Madison. Seen at dusk this time. Lots brighter when it's light out. Definitely an '09, by the grill and gas cap. Fit and finish looked good from the outside. Exactly what we ordered, except that the dealership will add a tow hitch for the bike rack.... if we even get confirmation of a VIN/build date in the next month. Otherwise, a non-hybrid 09 Escape is on order. Haven't been able to figure out how to get pics to show here. Link is: http://www.flickr.com/photos/bdwbjarvis/2769360487/
