Buying a car from a Mazda Car Dealer
Whitey, You are catching on to the dealer. If the cars really were selling like "hot cakes," in my opinion, they would not have a bunch of them on their lot, and there would be a waiting list for the vehicle. My plan is based upon my own purchase of the vehicle, and in consideration of the consumer reports price service for the vehicle (which cost me $15 and I am providing to you for free. It goes over all of the dealer incentives which exist for WI, OH, MI, and IN but not MN). But, you need to purchase the vehicle by Wednesday (tomorrow) to take advantage of all the savings. If I were you, I would take off from work and head to Wisconsin (or another dealer) tomorrow. You will not get the 0% financing on Thursday. Do not waste any more time talking to a dealership which is playing games with you. Especially since you do not even live in MN. MD (Mazda duck)
Yes Whitey, that is way too high for a used vehicle - unless of course there are practically no CX-9s in Minnesota. A friend of mine bought a brand new one with those options (it was FWD though) for $36,500 OUT THE DOOR. Start shopping around with other dealers, and use my plan of attack detailed in this forum. I would even consider getting quotes from Wisconsin dealers if I were you. There is an extra $1500 in incentives in WI (midwest region) so you will get a much better deal there. Good luck and remember the incentives (including 0% financing) end on Wednesday. Let me know how it goes!
I just put a deposit down on the following: 2010 GT AWD Black/Black moonroof package Navi roof rack remote start splash guards 35,000 before th service charge 37,235.10 OTD (including TTL) purchased in South Eastern WI. I would like to say thank you to everyone who has posted their purchase pricies. Without all of your contributions I dont think I would have gotten the deal I got. I hope to take ownership this friday!
Your deal is very similar to ours. We just picked up a blue CX-9 Touring FWD with Moonroof/Bose, Roof rack, homelink/compass mirror for $28,604+TTL in WI. We didn't do cash for clunkers because our trade is worth $7K, but got $4K Mazda incentive.
I think that's a terrible price if it's for an 09, because we got an AWD for essentially the same price he's offering a FWD. Here's our deal: an 09 CX-9 AWD Touring with Moonroof/Bose in KY, taking the $4K cash. MSRP was $35.8. We got it for base price of 28700 (no $1K customer loyalty cash). With TL/processing fees of 500, and 1700 in taxes, came to 30913 OTD. Bought it from Paul Miller Mazda in Lexington. Good luck!
