Buying a car from a Porsche Car Dealer
Looking to lease a 2011 4S. Thank you for the great information about the lease programs. My big question is what is an appropriate selling price. The cars I am looking for range in the $118,000 to $125,000 sticker price.
Just took delivery of a 2011 black/black V6 last night. Vehicle stickered for $61,900 and I ordered it over 2 months ago...production date was March 25th. Purchased through Porsche Exchange in Highland Park, IL...my sales rep was Dave McCann.. I have done a lot (too many) auto transactions in my life and truly loathe the arduous game...My experience with Dave McCann was truly the most professional and enjoyable transaction I have ever made and has truly drawn me in to the exceptional brand that Porsche is. He not only took a tremendous amount of time helping me understand the value and attributes of the product, but helped me put together my order to truly suit my individual taste and needs. I cannot speak more highly of the buying experience I received from McCann and Porsche Exchange. The vehicle is magnificent in every way...I have spent hours today just astonished by the quality of materials and fit/finish. For about 12k more than a loaded MDX, this vehicle is truly special.
STAY AWAY FRAUD TAXES ITALIAN CONS.OVERPRICED THEIVES I SAY I PURCHASED N 05 AND TH E HEAD DEALER AND GIRL HIS SECRETARY AFFAIR BOUND ROBBED AND SCAMMED AND LEFT TOWN NEW OWNERSHIP IN MANAGEMENT NOW BUT I WOULDNT TRUST AS WHEN THE IRS IS INVOLVED ITS A DEALERSHIP TO STAY CLEAR OF HIGH PRICES OF REPAIRS AND UNDERSKILLED MECHANICS WHO HAVENT GRADUATED HIGH SCHOOL.THE SALEPEOPLE COME AND GO AND ARE KIDS WHO DONT KNOW A THING ABOUT THE CARS THEY SELL ITS A CON GIMMICK AND THREE RING CIRCUS.I WITNESSED IN ONE HOUR- 8 HOURS ANOTHER TIME WAITING A LIFETIME FOR A OIL CHANGE 2 CUSTOMERS COME IN AND COMPLAIN ON THE SALE OF THE CARS THEY PURCHASED FROM THEM NOT GETTING FIXED, WAITING TO LONG, AND HEADACHES WITH THE VEHICLES NOT RUNNING PROPERLY AFTER BUYING FROM THEM FAITHFULL IL GUIDED CUSTOMERS FALLING VICTIM TO THE CONS AND SHARKS. WHAT A SAD SCENE.I WAS FORTUNATE TO HAVE NO ISSUES WITH MY CAR HOWEVER I WOULDNT WANT A WARRENTY WITH THEM AS THEY GIVE YOU THE RUN AROUND AND SCAM YOU WITH WARRENTIES THAT ARE WAY OVER PRICED AND TELL YOU LATER WHAT YOU TOLD WAS COVERED BUT WHEN ITS TIME TO USE IT ISNT COVERED.AH WHAT A JOKE GO TO A FAMILY DEALERSHIP WHERE THEYWANT TO SEE YOU BE APPY NOT ANGRY SAD OR IN A FRIGHT EVERY TIME YOU NEED TO GET YOUR CAR PURCHASED OR FIXED
"The salesman just entered the numbers into the computer and got the lease amounts. He doesn't know or understand what the money factor is. " I'm going to guess "sales technique"--he's hoping you'll just sigh and sign the lease deal. I also agree about illinois. I'd just buy here...
Plus, even though you pay the full tax on purchase, if you trade, your tax on the car you are trading in on is less the trade--at least in most states. Not is CA, apparently.
