Re: Nissan Sentra 2011 2.0 S [wscheckla] by fushigi on Wed Feb 23 05:08:09 PST 2011

Reliability shouldn't be a problem. A friend of mine has a '00 Sentra and as of a few weeks ago he had 193K on it. He's done some repairs plus the routine maintenance and had it repaired after an accident but overall he's very satisfied with the car. I owned an '85 Sentra wagon/5-door. Good car, great on gas, but it was a stripper model so it didn't have things like AC. Obviously too far back to use as a benchmark for current Nissan quality but unlike my Mazda ownership experience in the '90s it didn't leave a sour taste in my mouth. My wife & I sat in the current Sentra at the Chicago Auto Show last week. I really liked the cabin layout in terms of having a good amount of head room (noticeably lacking in the Elantra & Cruze) and seat travel. I could sit in the back seat with good leg room, too. I wasn't thrilled with the design of things like the arm rests (too narrow & could be more rounded at the edges) and other parts of the cabin; they came across as a bit spartan for my tastes. Overall, my wife liked it so it'll be on her list to drive when she decides to replace her car.

Lease Question by shadowjack1965 on Mon Sep 20 10:03:08 PDT 2010

Hello, Like many I just found this site and wanted to know if the lease I'm about to sign is a good deal or not. I appreciate anyone's feedback! We're dealing with Gerald Nissan in Naperville, IL (Chicago area). 2010 Murano SL MSRP: $32,060 Tech package - $1500 Splash Guards - $125 Freight/Destination - $800 (not sure if this is b/c they have to travel to find our vehicle or not) Nav - $1850 Premium package - $1,000 Floor mats - $105 Moon Roof - $1200 Leather Package - $1200 Total - $40,320 I asked the salesman if he would give me the pertinent numbers and he said he doesn't know EVERYTHING until they run it through the computer. What he COULD give me was: Residual - $20,000 39 month lease 12K miles (we'd go for less but don't think they offer it) .00190 (I forget what this number is called but he said that's a good number) Payments will be $579 per month. This includes $6000 trade in (we owe $4300) and $2500 down payment. So are we missing anything and/or should we negotiate for better? Thanks in advance!

3.5SR with Prem and Sport package purchase by lkdog on Thu Sep 16 23:14:44 PDT 2010

MSRP 30 195 INV 27,731 Paid 26,150 before TTL Actually got quote from another dealer for 26,000 cash/own financing or $25.500 with Nissan Financing rate. You had to take the one they had on the lot, though and they did not want to do a dealer trade for another one.Did not like the Ocean Grey/Black int combo so went with the other dealer who found me a white/tan one. These cars are really well equipped and great value at these prices. If anyone is interested-the 25,500 quote using the Nissan Financing was at Peoria, IL dealer (Uftring Nissan).

Re: Is this a good deal [bigtc] by fieca on Fri Apr 23 13:29:24 PDT 2010

I live in IL NW burbs; here is what I am getting from multiple dealers in the Area. MSRP $39,330 - EPrice: $32,562 * e-Price includes premium package, tech package, splash guards, floor and trunk mats. I am not sure if this includes $1250 which I am really presing hard on negotiating with 0% APR for 60 months. Either $1250 or 0 for 60 months; but $500 is there with either case. Another Dealer:MSRP $38,970 - *Internet Price: $31,518.00 (Options: Monitor Package, Sport Package, Sport Technology Package, Splash Guards, Floor Mats, Trunk Sub Floor Organizer). Now here is this special from dealer in prime suburb: 25%OFF MSRP I am still shopping!

You got a lot of car for much less that some of the other brands! I don't think you could have gotten a lesser model like the Accord for that money with the same equipment. You'll like the standard features and the great design. This is one vehicle that looks like just what it is..a Maxima. I like the lazy W hood design that can be seen from the passenger compartment and others also comment on this when they ride in it the first time. Incidently, if you keep your foot out of it, the mileage ins't half bad either. I'm getting 27 MPG with only 500 miles on the odometer.Good luck!
