February deals for 3.2 XC60 AWD by njvehiclelover on Sun Feb 13 08:56:45 PST 2011

Carman, the dealer quoted me 645 including the 5 percent AAA discount for 36 mos./15,000 on $41,900. Only package not included is the technology package. The deal will be no cash down only because I am trading my 2007 C-280 loaded except no nav, in good condition with 48,500 miles and new tires. I owe 12K and the dealer said they are valuing my car at 15,000. I think the trade-in is light but I can probably get them up. So my real question is whether $3,000 down with the deal above sounds good to you. Really appreciate the help.

Re: Current Incentives [Car_man] by mjalapeno on Fri Feb 19 12:17:57 PST 2010

Car_man, I'm glad I didn't do anything in January... but now the dealers are telling me that I can't get the s60 bonus cash of $3K and get the 0% for 72 mos. Is that true? I see on the Edmunds site where the $4K to the dealer can't be applied, but it says nothing about the $3K for s60 owners.

Re: Need advice to get this car at a decent lease price [gasjenn] by donnaq216 on Sat Dec 05 21:37:58 PST 2009

Hello- I am looking to lease the 2010 XC90. I currently have 6 mos left on my 07 Nissan Pathfinder lease...I'm debating to purchase at the end of the lease and then private party resale. My purchase option is $14500 but KBB is lower than that, and I have cash in hand and want to offer $11000 cash to the dealer...6 months from now...not sure if it will work, but I am a good negotiator and got a good deal on my lease. Currently online I saw the 2010 XC90 is MSRP 37500 with a lease of 559/mo, but that is with $3k down and 12k/year. Not acceptable to me....definitely something I would squeeze passed them. -OR- Thinking I should finish up my Nissan lease, give it back to them, and take my cash towards the XC90. The only issue with that is I'm pretty close to my mileage limits on my lease. (Lease ends June 2010) Any suggestions or comments please :) Donna

Re: Volvo leases and price lock in [hollywood53] by wifeluvsvolvo on Sun Nov 29 19:19:19 PST 2009

Appreciate the insight hollywood...our dealer in upstate New York was talking about this and told us "they were unsure of what will happen once US Bank basically takes over". Not sure if I believe them and it is just a sales tatic to buy now! They seem to be pretty straight forward and not playing any games however. Anyways, your (or anyones) insight on this please...we are looking to purchase and were actually thinking of using this current lease incentive program coulped with the terrible lease residual (but good for purchase residual) as follows...3 year lease coupled with a 2 year purchase loan at the end (5 year total) in lieu of "buying" with a 5 year note (at about 5.5%). By going the lease and then buy route we are coming out approx. 4-5k ahead....Seems like a no brainer... To balance this out on the new program, I figure we would need "real good" financing...say 1.9% for 60 mos. Are these types of rates in the cards?? If not, losing the lease assistance, lowering the monthly payments and raising the residual (that we will eventually finance) actually will hurt our deal. Any thoughts would be helpful (this is actually for an XC90 not a 60, I saw your post over in the 90 posts) Hope this wasn't presented to confusingly!!
