I just leased my 2011 x5 35d from chapman bmw yesterday. used truecar.com as a negotiation tool and leaseguide leasing kit as a number proof assistant. My due at signning is 5k, actual capita reduction to cost is (5000-925-399-60-777)=2800 around this including tax. so it is less than 2800 as capita reduction. Dealer quote is MSRP 66475 Sale price 58150 due at signning 5000 acutual downpayment to capita reduction, 2800 around which including tax sales tax NV TAX 8.1% disposal fee 350 residual 55% for 36 mos 12k money factor at 0.002, interest rate @4.8% acquistion fee: 925* doc fee 399* Tax is 8.1% first month payment is 777* AZ 3 month tem license fee: 60* tax on 2800 all numbers above are rounded. maybe few dollars different. total payment for 3 years are 32k. the car comes with sport activity, premium, tech, rear climate, cold weather, Y-spoke, multi-contour seat, 1 yr satellite, smartphone, ipod, running board, roofrack, etc totla msrp is 66475.

Advice on pricing please - I met with my BMW dealer in NYC yesterday. I'm leasing another X5 (this will be my 3rd one). Dealer quote is listed below. It seems fair to me, but I welcome any advice: MSRP $54,800 Conv. Package 3rd Row Running Boards 10k/yr mileage 36 mos. MF .00155 $4,260 down (includes all taxes and fees) Adj. Cap Cost: $58,595 $755/mo (does not include taxes in monthly pmt)

Received the following quote for an X5 with 3rd row, xm radio and convenience pkg. lease for 12K miles/yr, 36 mos. total OOP of $4,000 and quote of $801/month (inclusive of taxes). Is this a good deal?

Re: 528i and 535i MF & Residual [jrothen4] by topaz9986 on Tue Feb 15 09:22:28 PST 2011

1st, let me say great job on getting 6% off MSRP. How hard did you need to push as my local dealer in NC wont go any higher than $2,000 off an MSRP of slightly over $55,000. This is mainly due to little to no competition in my market. The one question I have is why are the leases on the 5 series are so high right now. My friend recently leased a new M37s for $650 a month with a total of $650 down (39 mos, 12k per year) with a 54,500 MSRP. I take it they are highly discounting the M's which is why they can offer such a competitive deal right now (and they may not be selling well). I am just finding the local BMW dealer not willing to discount as much as others I have seen on this forum. Your deal looks real good to me. I read on some other posts in this forum about giving multiple security deposits to lower money factor, but not sure if that is of interest. Good luck!

Hawaii 535I New Lease by bigwave12 on Mon Jan 17 11:59:00 PST 2011

Aloha Car man! I'm a first time BMW wannabee leaser and looking for advice. We only have one dealer on the Island of Oahu so shopping around isn't really an option unless I look in California and then have to work shipping. Was looking at a 2011 535I....36 mos lease. Being the only dealer in town do you think I have room to negotiate and how do the following rates and cost factors look to you? Retired from Military a few years ago so not much experience in buying or leasing new cars...always brought used...smile. Sure would apprecaite any help/advice!! Thanks much!! Note: when I was looking at MB E350, (again only one dealership, they wouldnt budge past MSRP...the dealers have a captive audience here) MSRP is $57,375 Rate: .00215 Miles: 15,000 (thinking I just need 10-12k) ACQ fee: $925 Fees , taxes and Doc fees are $2119 total Init Payment $1296.61 Residual: .59 Adj Residual: $33,851
