Buying a car from a Audi Car Dealer
Hi Car_Man, I put a deposit down on an A3 TDI with the following equipment: Premium Plus Metallic Paint Alum Roof Rails Cold Weather Pkg Convenience Pkg Open Sky Roof Wheel Locks I found out that my A3 TDI arrived early on Friday. AMEX shows the invoice at $35,185 and the MSRP at $37,055. The dealer quoted a net cap cost of $35,975 for a 36-mos lease at $587/mo and a drive-off of approx $1,909.15 (tax, title, lic, acquisition and 1st mo payment). I know that TDIs aren't subvented like the gas models, and feel $750-$1,000 to the dealer is fair, but my numbers showed some additional cushion (I used .00136 and 55%). Did the numbers improve in May? Edmunds is now showing dealer cash of $2,000 for the TDI, which I believe is new for the TDI for May...and could justify a $34,185 or better net cap cost? Thanks for your great service, and straight-up advice!
It is a really good deal at least comparing the dealer in STL, MO. Dealer there gave a quote for $500 (tax included) with 12k per year. 0 down, but need to pay the fee of 695+199+89 for an Audi A4 Quattro Premium Plus with a sticker price of $38775. I insisted no fee, they rejected.
This may be redundant to you, but I could use the help. Thinking about leasing an A5 coupe from SoCal dealership; Premium Plus, w/19" wheels, BO sound. I was quoted $43,975, less $1,000 discount and $1,500 Audi loyalty credit. I would consider anywhere from 36 to 48 mos. on a lease, 10k miles per year and an upfront payment of $3-6,000. What should I expect to pay monthly with all additional costs and taxes folded into the lease. Any analysis at how you arrive at the number(s) would be appreciated. Koz2
A dealer quoted the following for 2011 audi Prem. Plus ..is. 00185 money factor,54% residual for 39 mos. I have top tier credit. Does the.money factor seem high.i have read in this forum money factors of .00136 & .00156 for similar cars. Have rates at vw finance changed. Any assistance is much appreciated.
Thanks, Car Man. I was at the dealership yesterday and they are offering me a premier purchase program for 42 mos, 10k miles/year at about $378/month with $3,500 down (incl. all fees and 1st month rent). He said that the sale price is only $350 over invoice. It's a 2011 A3 2.0T (petrol) Premium Plus, MSRP of 33,845. I believe the rate for the PP program is 3.75% and the residual is 50% at this mileage. Could you give me your thoughts on if this a good deal or not? The dealer says the PP program rate is lower than the standard lease rate and the other terms are the same. I will likely purchase the vehicle at the end of the lease, which would be around $16,900...this seems like a pretty good deal if I could finance that purchase at around 3%. Thanks for the help! Best, Ryan
