Buying a car from a Ford Car Dealer
I have the 2009 Flex Limited, with everything but the Video player and $800- 4cans of cola size fridge. It's the best car I've ever owned... and I've had Mercedez CLK 430, 2 BMW 530s', Saab900Turbo, Ford F150 & Ford Explorer, 1970 Mercedez 200SEL and 1973 Chevy Nova SS... I'm looking to trade my 2009 for a 2011 with the EcoBoost... Ford of Bellevue WA BEGGED me for my Flex so they could have it for Used car inventory, but they were JERKS about financing a new one... So I'm going Back to Santa Monica Ford in LA!!!!
I purchased a 2008 Edge SEL AWD in very good condition at Riverside Ford on Aug 15th in Sumner, WA. So far, I'm very happy with it. The price listed on the car was $23,995., however, they had it posted on the internet for $19,995. which is what I paid. The dealership was fair on my trade in, and I would not hesitate to recommend them.
We're seriously considering purchasing a used 2006 EB 4x4 with about 34K miles on it. The car was previously a rental in Hawaii and then was sold at auction. A new buyer in WA purchased the car and only owned it for 8 mo before trading it in--he had brought it in to the dealer because the car was misfiring and stalling (at a cold start and on the highway). Supposedly faced with a $2000 repair, he traded it in for a compact (although who only buys a car for 8 mo?). The dealership made the repairs (and has given us copies of the work done), but we're wondering is this engine problem likely to be a long-term problem, or will it most likely be fine for the long term. If it matters, coil #4 was replaced as well as the cam phasers. It also looks like a couple of gaskets and the camshaft sensor were also replaced. Otherwise, this is the only time this vehicle has been in the shop since its first owner. The Ford warranty expired in January. This will be the only vehicle we have that we can fit all 4 kids (in carseats!) in so reliability is key. Thanks and we look forward to your advice!
Wondering where real-world prices are now -- what are you folks seeing offered by dealers, offered by you, and agreed to? (Looking mostly at Sport non-leather + moonroof, invoice somewhere around $28K) We're in WA, and I don't see a ton of FEH's on dealer-lots, but I've just started looking.
We are going to be test driving a 2009 Ford Flex AWD Limited today. I was just wondering what people are actually paying for this car Fully Loaded. We want these options: -Heated Leather Seats -Navigation -DVD Player -Backup Camerca -AWD The prices on the dealers sites are about $41,000 with some saying $39,000. Do you think we could get them lower? Mid $30,000? Maybe like $34,000 to $35,000? Oh and we are in WA Stat :) Thanks everyone!
