Buying a car from a Nissan Car Dealer
If it was a demo, they didn't tell me, he had the car ready to be test driven when I came in but it didn't have mats and wasn't washed but it only had 54 miles on it. This is how it was listed: Price (including freight, handling and delivery): 15,144.36 Processing fee for consumer services: 499.00 Title Tax: 469.30 Dealer's business license tax: 26.59 Online systems filing fee: 10.00 Registration Fee: 40.75 Title Fee: 10.00 Total delivered price: 16,200.00 Rebate: -1,500.00 Total: 14,700.00 I'm not sure why the title tax is coming out to 3.09% and not 3.17% but I was told it was 3.17 in VA, it might be because they didn't break down what the freight/handling/delivery charges were separate from the price. 469.30 is 3.17% of 14,804.42 which may then be the price excluding the freight, handling and delivery. Thanks and I hope you enjoy your new car as well.
Last October I bought a new 2011 Versa Hatch, manual shift with power package, sill plates, and mud flaps for 13K OTD. I was very pleased with that price.
About a month late but first chance I've got to post this :). I got a (Superblack) Nissan Sentra SR for $14,700.00 OTD with splash guards, convenience package and floor mats. It had 54 miles on it when I got it. If anyone one wants the breakdown of what the exact fees were, I can post the exact amounts but this is how it went roughly; about $15,100 base price (from the $19,300 MSRP sticker) about $500 tax (3.17% VA tax) about $500 processing fee/delivery fee about $100 for everything else (titling/registration) -$1500 customer rebate $14700 OTD price Let me know if you want exact numbers but I paid for the car outright (no financing/leasing) and no trade-ins. I got the title the middle of April. I tried getting the same deal for my uncle this month but between the dealer I bought it at and another dealer in our area, neither one could come close and the other dealer even said "You basically stole the vehicle". :D! Again let me know if anyone wants the exact breakdown, I did the ones above based on memory (except the final price of course and the rebate). I also felt that the area that I'm from (Virginia suburbs of DC) are notorious for ripping people off. I was comparing the Sentra to the Civic LX and the Corolla LE and thought the Sentra was by far the best for the deal I was getting!
Just looked at Murano prices at fitzmall.com and their no hassle prices at about $5k below MSRP and I think about $2k below invoice. They are located in the DC/VA area. Have read of many people on these forums buying from them and their internet prices are solid. I haven't personally bought from them though. I see ads in the paper in Chicago area for similar pricing that is close to that so you should be able to get in that ballpark.
Fri March 11th 2011, At 8:48 pm est, Via Koons Nissan Falls Church, VA.. Although we did our home work days before and were in constant contact with the salesmen.. Upon arriving.. We had to fight tooth and nail to acquire the car. Having informed the salesmen that we are coming from columbia, Maryland.. (through 495 at peak rush hour) we would be very disappointed if we were not able to drive back home with a new juke. Not only was the trip to Falls Church, VA a head ache.. (passing three accidents) and minor delays.. we got to the dealership within the allotted time frame.. trouble was.. I forgot my chair.. having lower back pain and searching for a vehicle that I can actually sit in.. has been very hard.. but I've sat in a juke before.. and for nearly 6 months.. the juke is all the wife talked about. I told her the juke has a "rally" look about it.. Never the less.. the transaction took longer then we were promised.. I was drawing very close to returning to our "other" vehicle, but learn the dealer had already taken off our plates.. Informing them that I wanted my plates back on our vehicle.. They seem to have stepped up the transaction.. (strike one) The next issues was.. we had a price (payment) range.. and they didn't meet our expectations.. Again.. I started heading out the door.. at this time one of the salesmen had our plates in hand and was just about to return the old plates on our other vehicle. (strike two) After nearly 4 1/2 hours at the dealer.. I was getting tired and couldn't find a chair to sit in and drinking more then my fill from the water fountain.. we were finally brought into the finance room.. Not only did the dealer give us payments we could afford, but included allot of extras we thought was impossible.. lowering the price of the juke and giving us more for our trade.. We are now the proud owners of a "Black Sapphire" AWD/Variable Trans 2011 Juke S. (home run)
