Buying a car from a Chrysler Car Dealer
Zetachi, I think it is a good deal, but not great. However, I don't think you will get a better deal now - best deals were in May. I highly recommend your purchase though with a sunroof and loaded - don't think you will be disappointed. In May I posted here that I got a 25th anniversery for 29K, But at the time, although I signed everything, I only put 1K down with full purchase on July 1st. At the time, I wasn't happy because I wanted the Limited model - I figured if I am going to pay for the middle model, I might as well go for all the bells and whistles. Anyway, about two weeks ago, my dealer (mind you, I am overseas and paid no tax) said he had a limited clearwater blue (light blue) for $2,500 more if I wanted it. I signed right away and he gave me the upgrade for 10K less original sticker. Man, this 41K car is loaded with all sensors and everything (but no sunroof). After driving it for 2 weeks I am extremely happy and still haven't figured out half the buttons yet. I am one happy camper and the kids (3 & 7) love the 2 screens to watch different movies with their wireless headsets in the back . . .
Just came back from a Dealer in Queens NY. 25th Anny Blue Pearl Coat Loaded with the 3.8, dual dvd, nav, sunroof. Sticker was 36,600. Deal they offered was 27,500 after $2900 trade in plus the$3500 in incentives. Is this a good deal or can I get it for less? Thanks
this past week I bought a 25th anniversary t&c on Long Island, NY - modern blue color - for $23,700. Using the $500 off chrysler coupon I had received in the mail, it was $23,200 before taxes, dmv, etc, etc. This was for the 25th anniversary package w/dvds, leather heated seats, power doors, liftgates, etc -- the msrp on the car is 34,405.
Hello All: I am located on Long Island, NY approximately 30 miles east of NYC. I am in search of an 09 Town and Country with the 3.8l, leather, dvd, uconnect, backup camera, etc and I have emailed all of the dealers in the surrounding state who seem to have a larger inventory than on Long Island. The MSRP is between 34-35k and so far 3 dealers have come back with a price of 26,500 as their rockbottom price which is about 25% off. Has anyone in this area experienced a better deal recently? What do you think about this?
This past weekend I was offered $24,200 on a 25th anniversary T&C (MSRP $34,405) in the NY Metro area -- based on the amount of pressure the dealer applied against Monday night's employee plus plus deadline, I figured things were only going to get better if I let the deadline slide. This morning the following is hitting the news: http://www.google.com/hostednews/ap/article/ALeqM5jhgaAFgvUKfEGLzFE6ehFETBjvSwD9- 80PFD00 Full article at link -- summary follows: Chrysler LLC said Wednesday it is offering up to $6,000 worth of incentives on its 2009 vehicles as it races to emerge from bankruptcy protection and counter a prolonged U.S. sales slump. The automaker filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy last week and is working to allay consumer anxieties about buying its cars given uncertainty over its future. Chrysler is trying to complete a sale to Italian automaker Fiat Group SpA and hopes to emerge from bankruptcy in 30 to 60 days. All of its factories have since been idled. Chrysler said the incentives, which begin on Wednesday, are aimed at reducing the bottom-line price of the car. They include $4,000 cash, $1,000 for current Chrysler vehicle owners, and up to $1,000 for financing through a participating credit union. The incentives come off prices negotiated with a dealer. They replace employee pricing plus rebates and zero percent financing. Chrysler's sales are down 46 percent for the first four months of the year. The automaker has been subsisting on $4 billion in government loans since the start of the year. ...I'm assuming that this announcement means I should be able to get the dealier to come down from their previous final offer? Anyone have better insight or understanding -- especially as to what I might expect my new best offer might be? Thanks in advance!
