Re: numbers not adding up [adnuts] by delta737h on Tue Mar 01 02:00:03 PST 2011

adnuts, Online lease calculators are extraordinarily simplistic and don't capture complex lease calculations in which the first payment and/or sales tax is capitalized in the lease. They're certainly not going to calculate lease payments correctly for those leases that originate in NY, Ohio, or NJ in which sales tax is capped. Also, Ally Bank Smartlease calculations differ from the norm because (a) Ally uses an interest rate and (b) Ally discounts the residual value one month nearer to the present Leasse calculations can be quite complex depending upon how they're structured. The best way to examine the dealer's calculations is to ask them for a copy of their LEASE WORKSHEET. This is a computer generated document that will tell you everything you want to know and then some. Hope this helps. John The Autoleasegeek

Re: New V wagon at bad dealer [Car_man] by bern37 on Thu Feb 10 16:00:25 PST 2011

Hi Car Man, I spoke with a few other dealers and they are all telling me that there are these advertising fees they are charged by cadillac on top of the edmunds invoice price on any the new CTS-V Wagons. About $1400 in advertising in NY and a bit less in Philadelphia area. Another dealer in LI said he would do the order for $800 over invoice, he said there were not these fees but I may have led him on to say that and he has not been too responsive. What is the real deal? And can i still even put an order in for a new one or has the production ended? Then I may be stuck going back to my first dealer but at least he has the car. Thanks, Bernard

Re: 2011 AWD LUXw/nav Lease [jj316] by tonybreezy on Tue Nov 02 08:08:39 PDT 2010

hi jj316, would you be so kind and help a man out. I am from the NY area and have been looking to get the 2011 SRX Lux for a couple of months now. Can you provide me with the dealer name and the salesman you made this deal with? This is the best price I have seen so far for this vehicle and would love to go the route you did. Thanks so much
