Current (3/11) Civic MF and residual? by cpoeclass on Wed Mar 16 10:15:36 PDT 2011

Can you help with the current figures for Civic leases? Trying to back into the figures from the terms of the current factory deals ($200/month for 35 months w/ nothing down or $149/ month for 36 months w/ $1,999 down for an LX at 12k per year). Residual seems to be 60% but I'm having a hard time calculating the MF without knowing what other fees, etc are in there. So, my questions are: 1) What are the current MF and residuals for a 36 month 12k/year lease on a LX or LX-S. 2) Are the residuals any different for AT vs MT 3) Do you know what the MFs are at maybe one tier below "Super Preferred?" Thanks.

Hello nsmelcer. Honda Finance's March buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2011 Accord Sedan LX MT with 15,000 miles per year are .00113 and 56%, respectively for consumers who qualify for its top aka "Super Preferred" credit tier. When negotiating your lease on this car, make sure to take advantage of the $1,500 cash incentive that is currently available on it. The reason why the payment that you were quoted is so high is the $4,000 in negative equity that you're trying to roll into your new lease. You would be better off waiting until you are less upside down on your Altima to get something new. If you absolutely have to get a new car now, shoot for a selling price of a couple hundred dollars over dealer invoice minus the aforementioned cash incentive. Sounds like a really good deal. We have been looking in the nj , nj, pa area for a few months now. The lowest "quote"we received is 23,810 + dest. We showed them ads for boch honda in MA for 21,988 and all dealers tell us they cannot do that. It is a loss for them. So we are struggling as well. Could you share your info with me. I have emailed that dealership myself and have never received a quote at all. Also can you email the coupon as well. We would like to purchase this weekend. You can send it to mt.mc@live.com. Thanks so much in advance. That is the exact car we are looking to purchase. Same color too! and financing.

Being in Minnesota I could fill a fourm with the number of Canucks trying to buy cars here in the US. American Honda has really put their foot down on this one to make the Canidian dealers happy. Plus, the warranty is VOID in Canada - so why would you want a brand new car with no warranty? I cant think of a dealer here in the United States that would knowing risk losing their Honda franchise to sell an additional car. We have found ways arounds this however. There have been several occasions where we have purchased factory cars (Honda excutive cars) for our friends to the north. These cars are usually current year with fewer then 10000 miles on them. In addition to a low milage vehicle, we also offer an extended service contract underwritten by JM&A that is VALID in Canada (Honda Care is also void in Canada). My advice to you, start checking with a Honda dealer in MT. to see if they can find a factory car for you.
