Buying a car from a Volvo Car Dealer
I was offered the following lease from a dealer in metro NYC(Mt Kisco):supposedly thru a 3rd party bank. I am a current volvo owner. volvo XC 70 36 mos/15K premium/convienence/climate/collision avoidance packages plus BLIS in a nonmetallic exterior color. No navigation system. MSRP 46,755 selling price 36,059 residual value 21,039 money factor 0.00163 adjusted cap cost 36,511 sales tax 1,503 (this is included in the monthly payment) upfront fees 762.50 monthly payment 523.57 (this includes the sales tax) due at signing 1,337.33 Do you think this is a reasonable offer and do you think I can do significantly better. Thanks, Ron
hate to be the one who breaks it to you, but i think u got beat for about $5-7,000.....i don't know how much the 3M coating and leather treating is worth, but to put everything in perspective, the one i just ordered is: brand new, factory ordered T5 AWD 6-speed MT Barents Blue Metallic (more expensive then black) premium climate bi-xenon audio 17' saggita wheels dynamic trim(minus the rear spoiler) and my price is less than yours BEFORE my college-grad and AAA rebates.....the biggest factor for me saying you got a bad deal is because the car was used and even though it only had 700 miles on it, the fact that it leased/owned by someone else greatly depriciates it's value. The minute i drive my new car off the dealers lot, it's value depreciates by thousands of dollars. Hopefully you got a good warranty from the dealer because you have no idea how that car was treated for its first 700 miles. again, i really do hate to confirm your suspisions, but the dealer did hose you.
Hello, this is my first time to post here... I was looking for any good deals around here and mostly they got around $5,000 down from MRSP... Here is a quote from local dealer... XC90 2.5T FWD base MRSP $35,290 MT paint $475 Premium $2,995 Versatility $2,100 DVD $1,995 18" Wheel $750 Wood steering $325 Park assist $400 Destination $695 Total MRSP $45,025 which is exactly same as volvo web site... He can make $3,000 down from this price... I ask about the rebate on Versatility, he said it's already inside $3,000... Please advice me how I should get a good deal/incentives... I request two other dealers on other town, but never heard yet...
lev, I would have loved to do the OSD, but my wife will not set foot on a plane. I plan on getting my pilot's license and try to coax her in the air that way. By then we'll hopefully be ready for an OSD the second go-round!
Hard to see with out knowing the details of options and other packages. Could you specify? If you got the climate, premium, premium stereo and bi-xenons that would be a good price. Anything above that is gravy.
