What are the current rates/residuals on a 2011 Terrain SLT-1 AWD for 36 & 39 month terms, both 12k & 15k? Any other cash available for leases? Thanks, this would be in zip 19966.

We have 3 small boys, a dog and seem to always have a bunch of gear on trips. We have never been SUV people, always foreign wagons. We rented a Suburban last summer on a trip and I love it. The gas mileage was better than expected, managing the right foot and the cylinder de activation on the highway makes a huge difference. Now our lease on our volvo wagon is close to coming to an end. I am thinking Suburban/Yukon XL. What should we truly be paying? Is a 2009 better than a 2008? The 2009 do have the 6 speed, that has to help highway miles. Any advice to a SUV rookie would be appreciated.

Yeah it seems as if dealers are still not quite getting it that the economy is in terrible shape and people aren't buying SUV's. I would buy one if someone sold it to me for near cost but that's it.

That's a stretch...unless you had a few grand in GM card dollars or some other bonus. The employee price on a zero option FWD SLE is $28k, and there's a $1k rebate...so without anything extra on your part, it won't happen.

Same here. Actually, we've never accumulated too much on it, but just collecting "GM cash" for spending money elsewhere has always been fine by us. Right now we're actually itching to buy an Enclave, but with the past 2 GM vehicles...about a month after purchase was when a GM Card bonus earnings thing would show up, with an extra $1 or $2k on top of what was already there. If we could only get another one of those card bonuses soon...and not go buy again, only to have it show up the next day :) I was told recently "usually in December-January-February", but of course, just a good guess.
