Can't speak to discounts in the US, but the discounts they are offering in the UK are pretty impressive a the moment -- options packages for free, basically -- to the tune of ~25% discount from list including options. For perspective, check out http://www.drivethedeal.co.uk/ Good luck!

Ah well, such is life. There is always an upgrade around the corner! I can't wait unfortunately because the insurance co. is cutting a check for me on Monday and is paying for my rental car only until Friday. So, I do need it now. I don't use nav that much but do like having it. I'm used to the controls on the wheel already from the XC90. That does sound like a nice improvement though.

I saw this on MSNBC tonight: STOCKHOLM - Zhejiang Geely Holding Group signed a binding deal Sunday to buy Ford Motor Co.'s Volvo Cars unit for $1.8 billion, representing a coup for the independent Chinese automaker which is aiming to expand in Europe.

Don't want to sound negative - BUT - from your numbers you are putting down with your trade and cash $8700? Aside from that - just a though - you get into a wreck and total the car or have it stolen (unlikely based on statistics) and its unrecoverable - say the 6 or 10th month out from delivery - now what? Yes gap and your insurance co pays out but you'll never see that 8700 again. Yes it does lower the monthly payments a bit - but you do have other options to keep yourself protected. I'd have to pump the numbers through my leasing spreadsheet but if it were me I'd rethink that down payment.

"a-plan" is the price to people who work for the Ford Motor Co. Typically,it is invoice minus any applicable incentives.
