I do understand what you're saying. However, I reiterate that Mazda has sucked at their ad/marketing of the 6. While different than your version, it's still more sporty than the Altima, Accord, Camry, etc. in my opinion. It's funny, 2 of my co-workers drive an Altima and one drives a Camry. When we were discussing vehicles at lunch awhile back, none of them knew anything about the 6 or even remotely what it looked like. Showed them pics and they all liked it. The Camry owner even went with me to the dealer to check it out as she's going to replace her car in the near future. She loved it and is planning on getting a red one herself soon. Again I say, Mazda is severly lacking in EFFECTIVE advertising

Re: (0%) financing & tax questions [epb999] by aviboy97 on Mon Jun 14 08:40:03 PDT 2010

epb999- Let me see if I can help you here.... (1) What's the FICO cutoff to get the 0% financing? (Does the dealer have some wiggle-room? If my score doesn't make the cutoff, does having a cosigner or guarantor with a score above the cutoff help?) The FICO score required to get the 0% financing is 680 Transunion. If it is lower then 680 Transunion, sometimes they will check Equifax to see if they are higher. No one uses Experian. A co-signer will help but only if they live at the same address. If it is a family member or friend at a different address, Chase will not allow it. Mazda uses Chase as their financial captive, so dealers really have no say in negotiating rate unless they can come up with documentation the analyst requests to make exceptions. That is only if the analyst is willing to make an exception. (2) Will the 0% financing special continue through July (or August)? We have no idea. I think it will continue through at least July, but, in all honesty, Mazda does not announce program details until the new fiscal month has started. (3) With leases (that I've seen), the sales tax is added on to the monthly payment. So if you move to a new state mid-lease, the monthly tax will change to reflect the tax in the new state. Is it the same way with financing? Can it be? Usually not. The taxes will stay the same as when you signed the contract whether it is a lease or finance.

Re: Thinking about leasing and scared stiff. Help! [southernfried4] by reign on Fri Dec 18 13:12:26 PST 2009

1st - take your car to get it appraised to find out how much you will get compared to how much you owe. Either at carmax, or dealer. 2nd - check your credit score to see if you will be approved. 3rd - More than likely, you will owe more on your '05 than what its worth. You can roll this amount into your lease like I did on my 2006 car (I was at minus $2K or so) I also rolled in my TTL into lease too. I got the base model hatchback automatic (no sunroof). The price was $19950 + ~ $2000 negative equity on trade-in + TTL. My payments on a 42mo lease with 10K/mi year is $315/mo. If you get the 4 door model (base automatic) your payments will be lower than the hatchback. If I were you, I would just go ahead and fix your '05 model unless you are even with the trade-in and not upside down. Also, on a lease check with your car insurance co to see how much your premium will go up. Good luck! PS Leasing is cheaper than buying (monthly payment), but there are some negatives about it. Please read up on leasing compared to buying - you can find this on the internet.

Great incentives on 09's by sliver93 on Tue Dec 15 08:53:12 PST 2009

I got mine from Courtesy Mazda in Longmont, CO and they were great to work with. They gave me more for my 03 Maxima trade in than anyone else was willing to do, and gave me his best and final number right over the phone. I spent less than an hour in the dealership, it's so nice not bickering for hours with dealerships like we used to. I wrote them a check for $21,200 for my loaded (no Nav) GTs including the $1,200 10/100 extended warranty after my $5,700 trade.
