2008 S60 2.5T ASR Cert Pre-Owned by cosanostra on Thu Aug 13 06:29:46 PDT 2009

My wife is looking to trade up from her Mini to an S60 or S40. We came across this one at the local Volvo dealership (in Omaha, NE). 2008 Volvo S60 2.5T ASR Exterior: Silver Metallic Interior: Graphite leather Transmission: Auto Mileage: 7,605 Premium package with moon roof & power passenger seat Climate package with rain sensors & (?) headlight washers (?) Asking price is $22,995. The Carfax is clean & clear - it appears the car was a rental car. I know some about Volvo, but not much (haven't bought a car in 3+ years, and wasn't really looking at Volvo at the time). What is the forum consensus? Good deal or should we try and negotiate a bit more off?

Re: Is this one of the (few) times when you should lease? [blckislandguy] by meshugy on Tue Jul 10 20:50:42 PDT 2007

Hi....I'm not here to pull the wool over any ones eyes. My Cap cost was $30,472.96. If you really want I'll scan it and send it to you. I can't speak for the NE. I just checked Autotrader for Seattle. Only one recent used XC70 under $30K...was a bare bones one with 26K miles for $26. I got A new XC70 totally loaded with free 3 years of matinence, cross bars, a full 4 years of warranty for $30K. See why leasing was a better choice?

Re: Just bought a new 06 2.4i [jhs70] by gregory3 on Fri Apr 07 06:43:55 PDT 2006

Yeah, I'm seeing about that in the NE area. I might go with the lease for MSRP of $28810. Lease for $249 a month with $1,000 down for 27 months. (for the 2.4i with sunroof, automatic, Select and Climate Package). Sound like a good deal? buy out at end of lease is around $18k.

Re: New Purchase XC70 [nixon] by bondmom on Fri Jul 16 10:42:40 PDT 2004

We're in the process of negotiating on one as well right now. Getting quoted $6500 off MSRB with just a little haggling. A lot of dealerships up here in the NE seem to have a lot of V70s and XC70s in stock to move before the 05s roll out in 2 months. My guess is you can get them down some more but not sure how inventories are in Texas. The XC90s have cannablized the sales of XC70s according to a sales manager I talked to so the discounting is fairly large.
