Buying a car from a Chevrolet Car Dealer
Have been searching the dealers here in NE PA for a few weeks now. Most 2010's are gone and the 2011's are what they are pushing. Locally there are zero FWD models (what I'm looking for). Most don't have many Noxes on their lots but are pricing based on incoming inventory. I found a dealer in NJ willing to go to $24500 on a 2011 LT1 FWD with drivers convenience package. MSRP is $25500. Think it's a great price given what they have been selling for. Just wish it was in a different color. May just take it, not sure yet.
Wife and I just got our first Corvette. Is a 2010 LT2 Coupe, Blade Silver, 6 spd manual, all body-color accents, etc., from Harchelroad Motors, Imperial,NE. These folks race Corvettes and build them for special racing venues, so they understand what works, etc. I encourage anyone, first time or seasoned Vette nut, to talk with Sid and hear what they have to offer which may be of help to your needs.
I went to a NE Pennsy Acadia dealer first, and got the run around with my trade, a loaded 2005 Trailblazer LT, with 87000 mi. on it. I walked, even tho' we got within $800 of my goal. Yesterday - went to my local chevy dealer in PA, and looked at 2009 Traverse, with navi, trailer package and rear view cam, MSRP $37, 900, and GMS priced at $36 202. rebates were worth 2500 off that, or 0 % finance. I went for the 0 % over 60 mo, and got $11, 200 for the Trailblazer. Got dealer to take all the fees except State tax and tags, out of the 25 grand balance. Both dealers didn't want to do much about going below the GMS pricing, although, the chevy wound up to be 200 below invoice. Love the vehicle BTW, but maybe could've done a little better, Feel like I contributed some $$ back into OBAMA'S BAILOUT $$$ Package.
I got a call from a local GMC dealer and they told me that, starting 8/20, for the 1500s they are doing employee PLUS $5000 rebate. Looking at the press reports more info is being released tomorrow, 8/19. Thanks for those that replied to my question on the 08 Silverado. The gotcha was he was not including the loan on the trade. So from that perspective the deal stunk worse than a skunk laying on the side of the road. I told him that I was not going to owe $34k on a truck that auctions for about $22k.
Stickers for $35855. Ya, this really bugs me. The manager didn't take long to make his decision and he is bringing in a vehicle. Doesn't make sense. Tomorrow outta be interesting. I looked at their inventory and they have two other LT1s that would work for me. Different colors but they would still work for me.
