purchasing x6 - advice by rsingleton on Tue Feb 01 13:02:05 PST 2011

about to place an order for x6 with all the packages. I'm torn between a couple things right now 1. Exterior Color - I'm black car type of person, was going to get black. But I really like the Red color. I'm a executive, so a classy look is good, but a bold look could be fun. Most importantly, resell - if i decide resell in a few years, would i have an easier time selling a black or red truck. 2. debating on sport activity package. - for those of you that have, is it worth $1,800 for sport seats and some glossy on the rear windows.. I guess it allows for the premium leather color such as saddle brown which is a nice color. .But I was originally going with oyster and could stick with it. what do you guys think - worth the $1,800? 3. 20" tires. i live in NE. I here 20" is not good at all in snow since they are performance tired not all-season. is it bad recommendation for me to get 20" tires. I think the x6 looks lot better with 20" wheels, but a few people have said they aren't good in snow. thx

Thank you Dale and Kyfdx. Unfortunately I have taken delivery of the car just over a month ago. Guess I will have to grin and bear it. Hope I enjoy the car trouble free for many years to come. It did not start a couple of times in the morning when the temperature was in the 50s. But after a few minutes it did so on its own. Will have to see how it behaves in the NE winter. At least it is giving very good mileage - 25mpg on mostly city/suburb driving (logged 1500 miles in the first month). Much better than my wife's X3 - 17 mpg for the same driving.

Re: my 2009 528i xDrive lease deal [lalakrsfan] by comer98 on Sun May 10 09:22:53 PDT 2009

I actually was contacted by my dealership and they told me about the program. The notes that I have indicate the pull-ahead will waive the last 3 payments of your lease current lease on an '06 or '07 X3, X5, Z's and 3 convertibles. The additional loyalty cash was for X3 lessees only. I think the qualifier is that you have to be in a current 30 or 36 month lease and you cannot ever have made a late payment. The pull-ahead expires June 1, 2009 so if you want to take advantage you need to move quickly.

What was the total MSRP for the vehicle after you add the options. I was able to get a 2009 with MSRP of 73320 for 841/mo plus tax, 0 down, 36, 12k.
