Buying a car from a Infiniti Car Dealer
Hello Car_Man do you have the lease figures for June? Thanks.
I was close to leasing a 2010 FX35 AWD w/Premium at the end of May but held off. The price I was quoted was -4,100 off MSRP (which is $47,410) and -1,000 off for Infiniti owner loyalty + 595 Acqfee + 249 doc all rolled in for a netcapcost of $43,154. Payment would have been $575.33 including RI sales tax, 39 months, 10K miles per year with no money down, only the first month's payment due at signing along with $70 in tax to be paid on the $1000 owner loyalty (1K * 7% = 70$). This was based on the .00092 money factor and 52% residual. To purchase the FX35, the dealership I was speaking with seemed willing to discount -8000 off MSRP (purchase only). Car_man - do you know what programs Infiniti / IFS is running for June? What the money factor/residuals and discounts for leasing will be. I took a chance that waiting until June to pull the trigger would be worth the weight. I cannot imagine the residual will change any, nor the money factor (at least not much) so it's the discounts that'll really help. Another -1000 discount would save me $30/month. Anyone else getting these type of numbers or higher/lower?
My 12 month lease of a 2006 FX35 (Touring, Handsfree, no nav, not sport) is up Nov-3. I'm currently paying $465/month including 7% for 15Kmiles 1 year. Dealer called me offering 2008 FX35 same options as my 2006 for $499/month including tax + BankFee, DocFee, Reg for 39Mon term. I wasn't interested. He called again 2 wks later offering same pmt I'm in today $465 including tax, 2 year lease nothing down, only first + BankFee+DocFee+Reg due at signing and 12Kmiles per year. Not sure if this is a good deal? I'm told this is for September only. Car_Man can you advise what the money factor, residual, would be for 24 month lease 10, 12 and 15K miles per year please? I am in the RI/MA area. Thank you!
If that's all dealer installed, 1K is a bargain. My dealer wants $700 just for the car starter. It requires the purchase of an additional keyfob which gets installed in the dash. Your existing keyfob starts the car, with the use of the lock button being hit twice. The lock button has a remarkable range, so that may work for you. The alarm, I agree... eh. I actually want an alarm, but not the 'pos' the dealer installs. I'd want something with GPS and they beep/txt message you if the car is moved or fondled in any way. Tint, my dealer won't do. They're in RI where it's not legal. I'd only allow tint after knowing exactly what materials are being used, who's doing the install, and how it's being done. That package for 1K is a good deal. You just need to decide if you want it.
Last Oct-2006 Infiniti had some good 12 month lease deals on the FX35. I picked one up and am hoping they have the same this year, but from reading these posts, it doesn't sound like there are any deals right now? Am I misinterpreting things? Does anyone have any insight into the 2007's and will Infiniti provide good deals/rates to move the 07's? Any thoughts? Thanks Scott.
