Buying a car from a Subaru Car Dealer
Dealer in PA quoted me the following: 2011 Subaru Impreza 2.5i Premium Options Pkg 11 - Power Moonroof, Fog Lamp, All Weather Package MSRP: $21,704 Discounted Price: $20,734 +Tax&Tags Center Armrest, Splash Guards & AutoDim Mirror w/ Compass Is this a good price? I think it's good, but not great.
Hi car_man: can you provide the numbers for the Legacy 2.5i premium (manual) for April? I'm trying to get my dad the best deal possible -- they've given him a sale price 22349, MF .00145 and 60% residual for a monthly with PA tax of 288.95 (for the stick shift, all-weather package). Thanks! -- Ian
I bought a 2011 2.5 Limited in December. I paid $200 under invoice, which I thought was a very good price. It was right around the price fitzmall.com sells at. If you can get at or under invoice, I think that's a good deal. I test drove both the 3.6 and 2.5 twice before I bought. While I liked the power of the 3.6, I didn't like the high revs at highway speeds compared to the 2.5. The CVT really holds RPMs quite low on the highway. Given gas prices, I'm glad I went with the 2.5. Good luck!
I recently got a Ruby Red Pearl 2011 Legacy 2.5i Premium from Glanzmann Subaru in Jenkintown, PA and I think that I got a half decent deal. My car is equipped with: All Weather Package Moonroof Auto-Dimming Mirror w/ Compass Splash Guards CVT PZEV Media Hub (dealer installed before delivery) Remote Start (dealer installed before delivery) I negotiated down to $23,500 including installation of the 2 options (media hub & remote start), and then I had the $250 Subaru coupon from the Philly Auto Show. So I got my car for $23,250 plus TTL. The car had 17 miles on the odometer when I took delivery.
I am wondering how far below dealer cost subaru typically goes. We are looking at a 2011 3.6R Limited Outback equipped with the following: Navigation, Power Moonroof, Auto-Dimming Rearview Mirror, Puddle Lights, Rear Bumper Cover, Splash Guards, Body Side Molding and All-Weather Floormats. Dealer Cost is $33,182. We have a VIP Partners dealer visit authorization which entitles us to 2% below dealer invoice which would get the cost from $33,182 to $32,518, but I am wondering if there is more negotiating room. Also, does trading or not trading your car have an effect on negotiating the price? We are probably going to purchase from one of the following dealers: John Kennedy in Plymouth Meeting, PA or Glanzmann in Jenkintown, PA.
