Buying a car from a Volkswagen Car Dealer
Yes I would tend to agree. The worst I have ever gotten on 03 TDI Jetta was 44 mpg and it was in (tank full, not MFD) ) 300 miles stop and go traffic in down town Las Vegas with 4 people in the car, A/C blasting in 104 degrees ambient temperature.
We just inked a deal for an '11 SE Auto w/Convenience Candy White with Black Titan Leatherette MSRP $21,650.00 Sales Price $19,711.00 Drive off = $1,600.00** Residual = 55% Money factor of .00057 (1.37% interest) 39 Months 12,000 miles per year BASE MONTHLY PAYMENT OF $209.50 LA County 9.75% tax of $20.63 MONTHLY WITH TAX = $229.93 **Drive off included: 1st pament of $229.93 Registration & Title fee $315.00 Cap Cost reduction of $328.89 Tax on Cap Cost Reduction $32.07 Acquisition Fee $625.00 Doc Prep Fee $55.00 Tax on Doc Prep Fee $5.36 California Tire Fee $8.75 Not a bad deal for a 23 YO to come up with (of course with a little help from Dad ;) ) Livingston VW IN Southern California's San Fernando Valley Great buying experience!! Treated her with respect and directed ALL questions and decisions to her (not toward Mom & Dad) :) ;)
You're welcome la_shooz. What the dealer told you is incorrect. Volkswagen Credit is currently providing a $1,250 cash incentive on leases of the 2011 CC 2.0T Sport, $2,500 on the 2011 CC 2.0T Lux, & $2,500 on the CC VR6 4-Motion. I personally would rather not deal with a salesperson who chose to mislead me about this cash. I personally would negotiate a selling price for the vehicle that I want, stipulating that any available cash incentives be deducted from that. For example, "I'll give you $500 over invoice minus any available incentives for this car". One would think that the fact that the 2012 models have begun to arrive would make dealers more anxious to discount 2011 models. Car_man Host Prices Paid: Buying & Leasing Experiences Forum
Hi Car_man, Thanks for all the info! I'm also looking to lease a CC Sport. I went into a local dealership this past weekend and when I asked the salesguy if there were any cash incentives, he shook his head "no". The only deal he would acknowledge is the one on the vw website (3000 down, 299/month). Are cash incentives something that dealers aren't very upfront about?? Should I avoid this dealership or salesman in the future? Also, when negotiating the price of the car, is it wise to negotiate as low as i can before even mentioning the cash incentive (assuming the dealer hasn't brought it up either)?? Also, since the 2012 cc's just came out, does this have any affect on the sales figures for 2011s? Should we be able to negotiate a better deal? Since the 2011s are now a year "older," do their overall residuals go down? Lastly, could you please post the special lease money factors for February that you mentioned above? Thanks so much in advance!!!
I've leased Audi A4's and MB's E class for my last few cars...with nothing out of pocket, my monthly lease payment has been from 1% to 1.2% of the total purchase price, including tax...i've leased 8 cars now, and have discovered that if you can lease a car for 1% of the retail price per month, you've got a great deal. Why then, are LA dealers quoting me more than 1.5% for GTI's (sunroof 4 door, sticker 28k/450 month with 900 out the door!)...and this is repeated dealers, internet and walk-in. This car should lease for $400 all in max... Thanks.
