Re: 2010 RX350 Pricing [oneo10] by fl32459 on Thu Feb 17 17:29:53 PST 2011

Also very interested in information on "new" 2010 pricing compared to 2011 pricing. I live in the Southeast and want AWD...Very few in area, and I have found one but it is a 2010. I'm just wondering what an expected depreciation would be for a 2010 that they are sitting on. Thanks! Any great dealers in AL, North Florida, or GA please let me know

Saki1 - Congratulations, did you order Black on Black. It's not worth it flying all the way down to MA and you add 1,000 miles on a new car. I feel it's not at all worth it. What about your valuable time of 2 people, say for example if you earn $500 per day for two you loose $1,000 here itself and top of that if you add all the additional expenses, Hotel, Food, Fligth Expenses it will go around $2,000 and by the time you start using the car from your home, the vehicle depreciates additional $1,000 as it's a 1,000 miles car. To sum up, you loose $3,000 on the car and add $150 for the gas(50 Gallons for 1,000 miles - $3 a gallon) If you want to be sure and make the transport 100% safe go for Closed Container which cost more., but in your case it's worth it. This is the quote I got from easycarmove Sharon, MA to NY. STANDARD - An Open Carrier Picks up within 1 - 5 Days - 405 RUSH - An Open Carrier Picks up within 72 Hours - 560 ENCLOSED - An Enclosed Carrier Picks up within 1 - 5 Days - 579 You can also get a free quote they respond quickly. you can reach me as well at brt.789@gmail.com Once again Congratulations & Happy New Year 2011.......

My dad bought me a 2007 Nissan Sentra 2.0 about a year ago. At first there were no problems, but as I began using the car daily I noticed some unusual things. My drivers side break light out goes in and out, and my remote key for the car's trunk button doesn't work. When I took it back to the Nissan dealer, they said that most likely my car had been in a fender bender and someone ran into my trunk and messed with the wiring. But when we went to the Honda dealer we bought it from, the carfax he printed off showed no accidents in the vehicles history. I also noticed the gas pedal used to be touchy, but now the car jerks, almost feels like it skips when I lightly push on the accelerator. And also my breaks seem to lock up if I push on them semi-hard and ease up. The rides in my Sentra went from smooth and pretty quiet to jerky and loud, given that my weather stripping is falling off. It seems like everything is going wrong with my car! Does anyone else have these problems?

Re: Is it worth to buy out the RX at the end of lease term? [orchid115] by maximafan on Wed Oct 20 08:47:20 PDT 2010

I was faced with these decisions when I was going to turn in my '07 RX350 at lease end. I was very fond of the '07, but I had found a 2010 RX(the only one on the lot with these options) that had the premium package, comfort package, but no navigation or back-up camera. My '07 was a non-navi vehicle with just the premium package. So with the 2010, the extra features that I got were adaptive forward lighting with the xenon lights, rain-sensing wipers(were standard on my '07 RX), hands-free bluetooth, heated and ventilated seats, and push-button start/smart access. I even considered maybe buying a used 2008 or 2009 RX350 with navigation that would have a lot of the features that I got on the 2010, but in my opinion, they're still priced a little too high, particularly for a certified pre-owned. My sister-in-law ended up buying my 2007 RX for the agreed-upon buyout. I think she got a great deal. And while I'm enjoying the tech features on the 2010 RX, I think I like the ride better on the '07 RX. The new one is a little more bouncy on the highway; at idle, it's louder than the '07 RX at idle, and not to mention I'm not getting as good of gas mileage compared to the '07. Also, I don't know if this bugs anybody else, but when I pull into a parking spot or pull into my driveway, if I don't fiddle around with rotating the steering wheel back to the upright position, it usually ends up in the upside down position. And this occurs even if you've turned the wheels only slightly. It drives me crazy! I don't know if this is because of the 19 inch wheels or because it has electronic power steering instead of whatever the '07 had(I think it was a speed sensitive-type power steering) I'm not a fan of the electronic power steering. Anyway, my sister-in-law is happy with the '07 RX. At least my 2010 is looking cool with the chrome wheels! By the way, my sister-in-law ended up purchasing a 2 year/100,000 mile warranty just for peace of mind. While she may never have a problem in those two years, if she does, the RX can be expensive to fix.
