Buying a car from a Acura Car Dealer
With Roof Rack Installed ($667MSRP) $30,500 - sales price $33705.31 - w/tax, reg, lic, transfer, titling, Ca tire, doc prep & dmv e filing fees... Worked with the two Internet guys at Niello Acura in Sacramento. Both of these men made it all so easy. Emailed what I wanted. Got a quote back. A few back and forths, a test drive and only 1 hour of office time. Found setting the c/c and varying gears (3,4,5,4,3...) using s mode is a great way to allow you to varying rpm (for proper break-in) while keeping the same speed while crusing the hiway. We are very happy with the RDX and the great price we got. But for as long as I've been following along here I never saw any RDX complaints aside from the firm ride. Well I have two items that I want to complain about. 1 - The hand brake has gone missing. What is that thing hitting my left foot when I'm streching my toes? (Kind of a big thing to me, no one else bothered by this?) 2 - Hood prop vs gas struts. (kind of minor)
I just bought the 2011 Acura TL w/Tech package, wheel locks, trunk tray, and splash guards for $34k + Tax, Tag, Title. Also took advantage of 0.9% apr for 60 months. Bought in Atlanta, GA. It took a lot of negotiating and a lot of dealers in town wouldn't do it, but I found one that would - so I feel that this was a great deal - hopefully you all agree?
Thanks, nycdarguy. I did get the tech package. Once I had popped in a couple of my favorites cds, I had the nicest 90 mile trip home that it's possible to have on I35. And you're right about the lease. My intention originally was to go with a TSX tech either as a buy or a lease. All TSXes in exterior colors I was interested in had ebony interiors, and not having a garage I didn't want the sun beating down on a car with a dark interior. There was a TL with a color combination I liked. I would never have bought a gas thirsty V6 with the accompanying MSRP, but with the lease deal, I will be a happy driver for three years. My monthly lease payments are less than those on my previous TSX base lease. The lease deals on the TSX were also good. I believe the base model would have been $277 OTD with nothing down except the car I drove in. The tech package was only $10 more per month--$360 over the term of the lease. That surprised both me and the salesman. The dealership was obviously ready to move some cars last night honoring prices given a week ago, no haggling at all.
Sounds like a great deal. 12k miles per year? I got my 2011 base tsx 3 weeks ago for $363/month with everything included, and dealer paying first month. GA tax at 7%. I felt pretty good about my deal, looks like you beat me. Enjoy!
I've lurked for a long time before finally buying an MDX this week. This forum was very helpful with price discovery. I got an MDX Tech for $42,586 (this included destination) + TTL and accessories. Very happy with the vehicle and content with the process. Bought from Curry Acura in Scarsdale, NY. Breakdown below, rec’d 1.9% financing for 60 months: MDX Tech – $42,586 Accessories – $1,050 ( Advance Running Boards, All Season Mats, Cargo Cover ) NYS Waste Tire Fee – $12.50 NYS Inspection / Gas Fee – $10 Dealers Fee – $75 License & Title – $65 Taxes – $2,923.16 Total OTD – $46,721.66 Any questions, happy to answer.
