I agree, DO NOT get caught up in your final payment, this is how dealers make the money.. On a lease your down payment should be less then 1K down, first, Security deposit and tax and Lic. Granted the more you put down the lower your payments, but that defeats the reason for a lease. Edmonds has a wonderful tool to help explain what a lease is and how to understand all the terms that is used in a lease. They also have a work sheet that I highly recommend people to use when going to a dealer to get a lease.

The Fusion is selling very well for Ford, so why should they discount them?

Re: Current Escape #'s for AZ [iwant2lease] by Car_man on Thu Jun 24 03:11:03 PDT 2010

Here you go, iwant2lease. Ford Credit's current base lease rate and residual value for a 24 month lease of a 2010 Escape XLT FWD with 12,000 miles per year in its Los Angeles region are 0.25% and 57%, respectively. The numbers for an otherwise identical 36 month lease are 2.75% and 48%. As you can see, Ford Credit publishes lease rates instead of money factors for vehicles. You can convert its published lease rates into approximate money factor equivalents by dividing them by 2400. When negotiating your deal on this truck, make sure to take the $1,250 cash incentive that is currently available on leases of it in the Los Angeles area into account. Re: 2010 Fusion SE [1stnewcarever] by flightnurse on Tue Mar 16 21:36:31 PDT 2010

Congrats, I have the same car in sports Blue and Minus the Appearance Package.. The Appearance package is package is offered on all SE and SEL for the 2010 Model Year. It has a sport turned suspension which means, the suspension is set up a little firmer then the standard SE and SEL for better handleing. your price is a good price for that car.
