Hi, I live in NYC and I'd like to lease the 2011 Explorer Limited edition. I'd like to put down no more than $1500. What do you think is a good lease rate? Assume that the car has a MSRP of about 44k. I've been quoted $570/mn with 1300 down and I think that is very high. Thanks in advance Car man!

I have an '09 King Ranch and just did a long trip and averaged 18.1 mpg on highway over 400 miles at an average of 68 mph per the trip computer with the 5.4L engine. Only 1,000 miles on the truck so hope to see a bit more once engine gets broken in. But of course, I didn't buy it for the mpg and neither should anyone else.

Re: TX $12,000 off of list [danallan] by saabturboid on Wed Sep 03 07:35:54 PDT 2008

The dealership that was advertising $12,000 off of list was Superior Ford in Plymouth, MN. (www.superiorford.com) The ad was in the Sunday newspaper and it did say the offer expired 9/2. Good luck. - Chad

TX $12,000 off of list by saabturboid on Tue Sep 02 09:03:00 PDT 2008

A local Ford dealer here in Minnesota is advertising the TX at $12,000 off of list. This apparently includes a $2,000 owners loyalty bonus. The other details were not listed in the ad, but this almost seems too good to be true. If so, one should be able to get a brand new TX for well under $20,000. At this price I don't understand why they aren't flying off of the lots. The TX is a really great family vehicle. - Chad
