Re: The worst car buying experience possible! [twinmdx] by mnmdx on Tue Jul 27 21:23:08 PDT 2010

Hey Twinmdx.. I am in a simaler position as you I think.. Need to do something at the end of this month and also explored Chicago options vs Minnesota. Only three Acura dealers in MN? Would love to know where you were shopping and what were your specs on the MDX? I was quoted $4000 down - 36month lease - 12kmiles - $535/month. MDX tech.

MDX Tech lease in MN. What to expect for MDX Tech lease Aug 1st by mnmdx on Mon Jul 19 21:59:49 PDT 2010

I currently have a 2006 base MDX lease that is up. My buyout is $17,200.00 and the dealer tells me I have $2000 in equity. They are quoting me on a new 2010 MDX tech lease as follows: 36 month - 12k per year - MSRP of $46,765.00 Total cash on delivery Taxes, fees, etc..before discounts = $6,762.73 Deduct my $2,000 trade equity and deduct first payment $535.00 for a Grand Total due at delivery - $4227.73 / $535 per month Does this seem fair? Should I wait until August to see what the new lease deal is closer to the end of the quarter?

Minnesota Tech. by twinmdx on Wed Jul 07 23:54:33 PDT 2010

Hi, I am looking to buy a new 2010 Tech package in the MSP twin cities area. I looked around and found the best deal at 44218 with taxes, accessories and title/ tag. Does anyone have a better price in mind in that area? I also looked in the Chicagoland area and found a quote of 41559. Can I buy a car from a Chicago dealer and register the car in MN? What are your usual thoughts about getting a car from a different state? Between WI, MN and IL, whats the best state in terms of taxes and tag etc? :)

What should I pay for Advanced? by slammie on Tue May 18 10:29:23 PDT 2010

Twin Cities MN area. I'm about to begin emailing dealers here and in WI. True car puts great price @ < than 48.6k. If car is new to lot, I will try to get holdback, but where do I start? 48.6 - 3% msrp? Or, should I really begin negotiations at 18% off? Thank you!
