Help me determine if I am getting a good deal. by amwke on Tue Sep 28 23:20:45 PDT 2010

Today I went to a MN Mazda dealer with the intention of leasing a 2010 Mazda 3 AT Sport. After test driving the Touring, I felt that stability control and traction were enough to justify an increase in price. After we had sorted through various leasing options, the best deal came out to be $255/mo on 12k miles, 36mo and $0 money down on a 2011 Mazda 3 sport. My questions are: 1. Is this a good deal? 2. Is it possible to find a 2010 Touring with moon/bose for a similar lease rate? Also, is there required scheduled maintenance which Mazda will force you to get and pay for? Thank you so much for your help.

katiejo49, The $500 loyalty credit may not be taxable depending upon the state in which you reside. For instance, Minnesota does not tax rebates or manufacturer incentives. To wit... http://www.taxes.state.mn.us/taxes/sales/publications/fact_sheets_by_name/conten- - t/CM2_009387.pdf It states: Rebate is any manufacturer rebate, or any incentive, cou-pon, discount, check, or credit, regardless of origin. Re-bates are not taxable. aviboy97 is correct to the extent that the overwhelming majority of states do tax rebates and incentives. I'm sure he assumed that you are from one of those states which is a reasonable assumption. John

New 3 grand touring hatchback 6spd by kfranci2 on Tue Apr 13 06:23:45 PDT 2010

Picked up a new 3GT hatchback manual this weekend. MSRP $25,615 and no-negotiation price $24,115 at Walser Mazda in Burnsville MN Initially was disappointed price was not lower, but then they gave me about $1500-1800 more for my trade than kbb.com said they should have. This tells me there is probably some sort of dealer incentive going on to drive all these great deals, especially considering I got 0% for 60mos too. The car is graphite and was the only 6sp 3GT hatchback within 100 miles of Minneapolis, so luckily I like the color. Was happy overall with Walser and looking forward to the free oil changes & other perks. This is a great little fun car to drive with all kinds of features (auto wipers, xenons, led tail lights, memory seats, keyless start, etc) that I thought I would have to get into an audi/bmw to enjoy.
