Looking for May Lease #'s by wvbob on Sat May 05 08:33:44 PDT 2007

Car_Man So far this year I have attacked the same Dealer for a '07 Jetta Wolfsburg, '07 Passat Wolfsburg both for my daughter's Now Dad is interested in leasing a '08 TT. What are the MF and RV's for 36/48/60 months, 10k miles. If numbers crunch correct I'm taking the chain saw to the dealer and cut a deal! My interest's align with the 2.0T w premimum pkg/heated seats/AUTO/xeon lights/power roof. I guess I must be getting soft in my older years! Any suggestions for options or approaches to reduce the cost's. I feel I hammered the dealer fairly well for the two VW's, based on what I have read in the respective forums. Not certain he'll move as far this time of year and this vehicle!

Re: Audi at invoice in Northern Virginia [seanwest] by wvbob on Thu Mar 08 11:09:55 PST 2007

I'm in WV and looking also. Here's what I have done. Audi Web, locate dealer (select within 100 miles of your zip) Go through the list, I open google and find the dealers web site, check inventory and ask questions through e-mail. I keep a spread sheet of those that respond and relative $$ values. From there the negotiations begin. I have a local Dealer whom I just purchased a jetta from @ $1028 under invoice. To keep him honest, he will be my last check although in preliminary discussions he has made some very deep cuts. You can look him up under zip 26301. Anthony is the owner... tell him Bob sent you!

Re: Lease vs. SmartBuy [escortowner] by wvbob on Sat Mar 03 17:35:58 PST 2007

Looking at the date of your post, this is late, but hopefully of value. I purchased an '05 beetle for my daughter using VW's Drivers Choice ( same program as Audi Premier Purchase) There was no Acq Fees, vehicle was titled in my name, I received all tax benefit on write off of taxes paid. Beetle was calculated same as a lease, but was signed on a Finance contract. I had complete freedom to trade, sale or what ever as though the car was mine. In Jan 07 car was totaled. Payoff will be about 2K less than insurance settlement, money went towards a new Jetta. I personally preferred the program to a straight out lease.
