Re: 2009 GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab Short Box 4-Wheel Drive Work Truck [njdealguy] by gf2020 on Mon Jan 25 08:11:00 PST 2010

This forum is pretty quiet. A couple thoughts... 1. I would not buy a Sierra 1500 crew cab with the 4.8 liter engine, I would look for one with the 5.3. 2. Have you figured out the invoice price on this truck using the data available at Edmunds.com? For a leftover '09, I would only pay invoice minus rebates (I guess if you take the 0% you forego most of the rebates) minus the the holdback (which is 3% of total MSRP before destination charge for GMC) so another $1000 off. Good luck!

Re: Used Acadia [vinnyny] by grummanflyr on Sun Oct 18 08:53:20 PDT 2009

I'd think LONG and HARD about this. I looked at a lot of 2007 Acadia's recently and the value wasn't there. I just bought a brand new 2009 Acadia SLT-1 with backup camera, power liftgate, remote start, everything except for nav and DVD for $35,000 (added hitch and DVD after delivery for $400). True - We're talking about $13k more. But for that $13k you get a newer car, 55k miles back and a warranty that you'll probably need. Even at 15k mi / yr, that's 3 1/2 years of ownership you're giving away. Also, one 55k SLT-2 Acadia that I looked at in MA was already in their shop with a power steering pump replacement. During negotiation, they told me they'd invested $2,200 in repairs in this vehicle (as if this would make me want to pay more). 2009 new Acadia's come with $2,500 in rebates + $500 discretionary dealer rebate and another $500 for your waiver of the "try it for 60 days" program. BTW - If you do look for a new 2009, don't just look locally. I found a new one in another state and paid $300 to have it shipped to my driveway.

2009 Yukon Denali Purchase in MA by oakster02461 on Fri May 01 13:49:33 PDT 2009

Sun/Dest/Ent Package, Cooled Seats & Blind Zone for $53,800 Doesn't include 200 doc fee and taxes or rebates and GM card. I took the 0% financing and applied my GM Card for another $2200. Loving the Denali and glad I didn't miss a big bump inthe rebates for May.
