2009s are going cheap and fast... by johcha1 on Thu Nov 05 08:43:03 PST 2009

Herb Chambers Saab in Boston just had an awesome two day "sale" this past weekend. $10K off every new Saab. I bought a 9-3 2.0T XWD 6speed manual with a MSRP of $37,170 for $27,170 including destination (+$450 dealer prep, reg and 6.25% MA state tax). There is no AWD car in this class that can be had at that price, period! Absolutely LOVE the acceleration in 2nd and 3rd gear. No turbo lag at all. Handling is nimble, precise and no oversteer at all. Bring on winter!

Re: Current 9-3 Incentives [ckingtw] by sasha3372 on Tue Jun 21 20:51:00 PDT 2005

I'm not sure what you mean about not getting incentives if you are financing, unless I am missing something. Which by all means please tell me!! I've been quoted by 2 different dealers, one in MA, and other in FL for 93 Linear: Sale price $24,416 w/auto trans and the metallic paint which is supposed to include the (1) Employee discount which I was quoted to be $26,894 (MSRP $28,920), and less (2) $2500 incentive (purchase). Your price of $23,900 seems to be in line with the quotes I received for auto trans only. Questions: (1) Has anyone been able to negotiate out of the $500 extra for the metallic paint? (2) One of the dealers in FL also is trying to charge $550 for a "Dealer Service Fee", which is highly inflated. How far down have people been able to negotiate to a "fair" price? (3) Any more insights into the greater incentives GM will have for Saab? These 2 dealers are saying they are running low on inventory for 2005 already.

It's "Saabaru" not "Sabaru" by mamike on Fri Mar 25 08:40:19 PST 2005

Yes, GM is offering a $5000 cash incentive or 0% financing on the 9-2x right now. In addition, a Saab dealer informed me that they have an $800 holdback, so most Boston area Saab dealers are offering $6000 off sticker price. If you are a GM Supplier, then you will have additional leverage. Check the other 9-2x forums on edmunds for more discussion regarding Subaru vs Saab. Saab and Subaru repair costs will depend on where you have your car serviced. It's probably best to call your local dealers to get their labor rates and part costs prior to having any service performed. Trust me, you can save a bit of $$ by shopping around.
