Buying a car from a BMW Car Dealer
HI - I am about to lease a new 2011 535 to replace my 2008 535 (lease ends June 8). I have started talking to dealers looking for a 535 with convenience and Premium 2 package - the quote i received doesn't match up to the math - what am i missing? What should i be factoring in that is non-negotiable (ie transportation fee, documentation, etc) Also, i'm a little fuzzy on how the option credit figures into this quote and how I can use this to my advantage. Any advice is greatly appreciated! Quote: (based on convenience, Prem 2, smartphone integration): Sticker: 59.5 Selling Price: 56.5 Residual: $34,524.50 Their numbers: $804.43 (incl CA tax) with $3000 down (12k miles / year) When i calculated the numbers, I come out to $810 / month (incl tax) WITHOUT any money down. I know I'm missing certain costs so wondering....where do i go from here?
Hello CarMan, Can you please help me out. Can you let me know what the following is for a 335i Sedan (36mo, 12k) - Money Factor (Top Tier Credit) - Residual Thanks for your help.
Hello, The 335i Sedan I've configured has an MSRP of $49,925. They offer to sell it to me from $45,991. I guess this includes the option credit from BMW because when I mentioned that they told me this is the best price I'll get from them. They also told me this price is valid both for finance and leasing. The financing is 2.9% for 60 months, and leasing is as follows: MF 0.0024 and the residual is 64%. With no down, the initial payment is $1420 and its $660 including the tax for 36 months 10k miles a year. By the way I am from Northern CA and this car is to be ordered. What do you guys think? Is this deal any good?
You should buy the car you have owned since new. There is less risk that way. Even if you have to pay a bit extra for it. My .02.
All - First time, long time. I just wanted to start by saying thanks to everyone in this forum who has posted before as you have been very helpful to me. I am a first time BMW buyer and was quoted today in New Jersey (7% sales tax) on this 27 month lease for a 2011 328xi sedan. It has: Space grey metallic color, black dakota leather, premium package, value package, steptronic auto, heated steering wheel, fold down rear seats, xenon headlights, and nav system. MSRP: $44,690 Cap Reduction: $3,021 DMV Fees: $318 Money Factor: 0.00210 Capitalized Cost: $42,155 Sales Tax: $1034 Bank Fee: $925 Total Cap: $44,114 Cap Reduction: $3,021 Net Cap: $41,092 Residual: $32,623 Monthly Payment: $468.46 (for 27 months with $4k down) So total OTD price was $4000, which did included TTL, first payment, etc. I think the money factor is a big high, along with the monthly payment. However my friend say it was a pretty good deal. Your thoughts???? Also how much would you say a comparable 335xi would run? I'm going to ask my CA on Thursday when I go back, I'm just hoping someone here could give me a number to work with before I go back. Thanks!
