Buying a car from a Volkswagen Car Dealer
Here's the info that you're looking for, ks_bay. Volkswagen Credit's current buy rate lease money factor and residual value for a 36 month lease of a 2009 Jetta Sedan SE with an automatic transmission and 15,000 miles per year are .00054 and 51%, respectively. If you were to lease with only 12,000 miles per year, this car's residual values would be 2% higher. Make sure to take advantage of the $750 cash incentive that is available on leases of this car right now when negotiating your deal. Car_man Host Prices Paid: Buying & Leasing Experiences Forum
Just got mine last night. Here's the terms Fully loaded 2009 Jetta SE w/6spd auto-tiptronic (wife can't drive stick)/ipod adapter I based the deal on the nationwide lease offer from vw.com against the manual S model and worked from there -$0 money down - you'll notice on the website that they require $2499 down but I worked that into the monthly cause I don't want to give that cash upfront. Many people are fooled by this cause they think about the lower monthly but don't realize that they are already paying that money upfront anyway if they give the down. -$289 per month -36mos/12K per year - I was not charged for the ipod adapter and dealer charge. Not sure why though, maybe because it was late friday night and they needed to go?? - the monthly could have been lower ($30 less per month) if I got the manual transmission - I also paid for the aquisition fees upfront (tax, dmv, etc.) - the residual value is 11.5K at 36mos/the cap cost 20K/the money factor was the standard rate for the special lease offer.
Car_man, I'm looking for the current money factor and residual values (12k and 15k miles per year) for 2009 Jetta SE (automatic). Thanks in advance..
I have an '07 Jetta base with Michelins, and after 29K miles, there is still a lot of tread left. The Bridgestones used by VW aren't the top of the line, so I wouldn't expect comparable wear. If everything else is suitable, take the Michelins.
I just bought a 2007 Jetta (base, manual) for $17,500. What a deal! For $1000 less than the 2.5 model, you lose only floor mats and the 16" wheels. I know they do this for a low price point, so it's a deal like the $15000 Rabbit 2 dr. Very happy with the car and the deal.
