Buying a car from a Lexus Car Dealer
rallo1, congrats on your purchase! Was 39k your out-the-door price, or were there TTL fees on top of it? Which dealer was it in SD?
You buy down factor by putting up multiple security deposits which are in the amount of one lease payment each rounded to the next highest $50.00 mark, e.g. payments are $507.00. sd would be $550.00 each. These deposits are fully refundable at end of term of lease assuming no damage or overmileage. That's the only way to buy down factor that I know of, except maybe with non-refundable CASH...and what would be the point?? Lexus only at certain times offers the MSD option and not necessarily on all models.
Carman/fellow members.... just about ready to ink a deal for an 09 ES 350 with Premium, Leverson, and Nav as follows; MSRP is $40,070 (total invoice is $35,280) 15K, 36 months, money factor is .00050, residual is 47%. I was quoted $542 monthly payment if i put down $1000 or $498 a month if i put down $3000. Taxes not included. Unfortunatley i dont know what they are using as the net cap cost.... But given these numbers, how should i respond? Does this sound like a reasonable deal? Im in Southern California. Your help is appreciated. thanks, SD
Hi CarMan, What is the current MF & residual on a 36mo/12k term for a '08 450h ? Is the MSD program for Lexus still the same (.00008 MF reduction for each SD) ? Due to the current economy, do you think a 450h can be had for under invoice (in SoCal area) ?? TIA - socalJD
My 2006 LS430 lease expires in Dec 08. I received a message from my dealer asking me to call about a lease forgiveness program. Any advice? Should I wait un til a couple of months before my lease expires or start talking with my dealership now. I leased the vehicle from one of the largest Lexus dealerships in the country. Nothing down, No SD and I pay 837 per month which was about $100/month less than another dealer. The LS 430 has navigation, smart access system, and comes with 15,000 miles/year with a 12 cent per mile excess mileage fee (which I will not exceed). It listed for around $64000 and was discounted to >$57,000 with a cap cost of around $37,000
