HI guys -- I am getting NEW 2008 T & C with 25L with siri video package for 21.5K + TTL -- Any thoughts on this deal ? anyone thinks I can do better ? Please reply.. I got till tomorrow morning to pull trigger. thanks
HI pacifica07. Why are you in such a hurry to purchase your vehicle well before the scheduled end date of your lease? You probably would be better off waiting to the very end to decide whether to purchase your Pacifica. By waiting, you have a get out of jail free card that will enable you to just walk away from your truck if it ends up having mechanical problems or being in an accident over the next year or so. If your Pacifica doesn't have any problems and you still like it at the scheduled end of your lease, then place a call directly to Chrysler Financial to find out its exact price. Once you know exactly how much money it is going to cost you to buy your leased vehicle you need to compare it to its current value on the open market. You can find out approximately what your vehicle is worth by looking up its Edmunds.com True Market Value in the Used Vehicle Pricing section of this site. You also may want to stop by the following discussion: "Real-World Trade-In Values". If your Pacifica's purchase option price is less than it would cost you to purchase a similar used vehicle, then you should consider buying it. Good, glad you aren't in HI. That way you have MANY options as far as dealers to choose from. Try checking out several dealer's websites. Ask for price quotes by e-mailing them. Whenever I've done this (with both Fords and Hondas) I always am up-front with them. I ask for a complete breakdown of price, and I think it would benefit you to do so as well. On the vehicle you are inquiring about ask to see the: Dealer's Selling Price (including destination) + Taxes + Any Fees. Get quotes from dealers as far as 100, 200 miles away. That way you'll have some bargaining chips to take with you when you go shopping at your local dealer.
HI, If I understand you correctly the T&C you bought was about 32,000. minus the $45oo rebate, using the EC number the dealer was able to discount the vehicle another 7500? That is pretty incredible. Any idea how I can get one of these numbers? Thanks, Mark
HI martin6. Dealers can quote you a lease payment for the vehicle that you want including taxes or before taxes. Make sure to ask the dealer that you are working with exactly what any lease payment that they quote you includes. The methods for calculating sales tax on leased vehicles vary from state to state. In Florida, I believe that the state taxes the payment and down payment of leased vehicles. You may be able to find out more information on how sales tax is calculated in your area by visiting the following sites: Florida Department of Highway Safety and Motor Vehicles or State of Florida Department of Revenue.
