Buying a car from a Hyundai Car Dealer

IA Hyundai Car Consumer Discussions

Re: price dropped in 2-3 days! [tchescat2000] by miffed on Sat Apr 18 21:13:53 PDT 2009

this is what I think. I think Hyundai sucks. I think the dealers suck especially the Hyundai dealer in Council Bluffs IA I purchased a 2009 Hyundai last August it had 2000 miles on it the only reason I bought it was because it was the color I wanted and the interior color I wanted. I asked about the mileage on it and they said it was from a dealer trade and a couple of test drives. I asked if what a demo or a service vehicle i was told no. The mileage was no big deal until my xm radio went out after 2 weeks and I called Hyunda CS they told me I was not the original owner you see the car was sold in June to someone else so the CS told me I was only getting the 5-60 I called the dealer and they told me that they talked to the Hyundai territory manager and they change their records to give me the 10-100. So I contacted the attorney general in IA and made a complaint. So what the territory manager did was go in and change so I am now the original owner of the car since june of 2009. I took it in the shorts like a previous post said "I would rather not pay the price for a Honda or Toyota" think again mr cheapo the truth of the matter is my Sonata that I paid 16000 for is now worth 9800 in 8 months i went to 12 dealers in 5 cities. They all hit me with in 300 dollars of that figure. I hope Hyundai goes out of business and I hope the dealer goes bankrupt. As far as the people on this blog BUYER BE WARE PS the AG did nothing for me. Since they changed all the records. I guess in IA it's ok to screw the consumer in the eyes of the state government. Buy a Hyundai and save a buck. Guess what Hyundai is selling Sonatas at 13 to 14 grand and they are flooding the market. To those of you who do not understand economics that means like the gentleman who purchased his sonata for 14400 and now they have cut the price to 13500 that he did nothing but lose a 900 dollars in a couple of weeks. But the truth be known he really lost $5,000 as soon as he took possession of it. Believe m Honda and Toyota that doesn't happen you may pay more but you get a better car that is a asset not a liability. Hyundai hope you go broke. the TM for Hyundai I hope you get fired for your dishonesty may you rot in hell.

Congrats on anniversary and purchase. She will love this vehicle. I find excuses to drive mine and I'm grateful I get to drive it nearly every day.

It depends on your needs. Do you have children? Do you carpool? Where do you live? Alaska, upstate NY? I live in southern Iowa. I have one adult child still at home , and my husband. The SF is primarily my vehicle. I bought the five passenger front wheel drive Limited. We rarely have bad winter weather (at least in recent years) and if it's that bad, my husband would likely drop me off at work-and it's only five blocks. And nothing, not even AWD will help in icy conditions. By the way, you won't regret your purchase. I have never loved driving a vehicle as much as I love driving the SF. It has a smooth, quiet ride. I love the XM and the sunroof . I have the SF Limited FWD Golden Beige Premium Package.

Another thing for them to change is the windshield wiper placement. When we first got the SF, I wanted to use the wiper for the gear shift. Yikes! And my husband who has big hands is always hitting it and turning on the wipers (without the washer). He also thinks the blue lights at night are still too bright, even on dim. I however, love them.

Re: SE, 2WD, No Options (No Sunroof!), Happy Dance... [g8trgrl] by lv2drv on Sun Apr 01 10:42:38 PDT 2007

Congrats on your new purchase. I know you are proud of your accomplishment and getting such a great car. Don't have too many regrets about not getting the sun roof. I am close to 50, and just purchased my SF with sun roof last week. I have always wanted one, but it just never worked out until now. You will have something to look forward to when you make your next purchase. I hope you enjoy your SF as much as I do.
