Shopping a Yukon Denali by bearnkd on Mon Nov 03 19:26:09 PST 2008

What is a good deal now? Edmunds says 4500 + another 6k in incentives. Yet over on the Chevy side people are saying they are dropping 15k or more off of sticker on fully loaded Tahoes. I am looking at a 2008 Denali with 20" wheels, REARVIEW CAMERA SYSTEM, moonroof, nav. Local dealer here has about 20 still in stock.

Looking at 08 Denali XL lease by catam on Fri Dec 07 09:12:03 PST 2007

I am looking to lease an 08 Denali XL. I am wondering if anyone knows the current money factor/ lease details available. Specific ?'s I have are what is the current residual % used on 36,39 mo lease; is residual calculated based on MSRP or actual cap cost; does anyone know how sales tax works for calculating lease pymt when you have a trade in (do you still get sales tax credit on trade in value?); I live in Utah if that matters. Hopefully a host can help or anyone else. Thanks, Chris.

Sept or Oct is probably a good guess for 08 availability.

I wouldn't worry about it. My 03 burb has something like 86K with 2700 hours on the engine, works out to 31 MPH average. I know mine has seen a lot of highway miles, but those are cancelled out by sitting in traffic a stop lights, driving in the city, sitting in your driveway with engine running etc. Like you said without the hour meter you'd never even be concerned about this issue.

The reason you can't get the Allison is the same reason you cant get the Dmax engine in a burb, It won't fit. I know this sounds strange, but if you'll notice the Allison tranny and Dmax are only available in the 2500 HD and 3500 trucks, not on the 2500 or the 1500. The latter 2 are the platform that GM uses to make the burb. I am not sure when the redesign is coming for the appearance, but I did hear a rumor that the Dmax would be available in 06 on the Burb. I don't know if its true, if anyone could verify that would be great. I know I would be interested, although the MSRP of over 50K would scare me a whole lot.
