Buying a car from a Acura Car Dealer
So I'm getting an offer for a new base tsx for $25,562.23 and after TTL (and fees) $27,550. The only thing included is tint and wheel locks. That price does not include the $500 AmEx gift card offer, which essentially nets the offer to $27,050 DO. I've searched far and wide around Texas for someone to beat that price but I just can't find anyone. Do you guys think I should wait for more cash to dealer from the manufacturer? Does anyone actually think the dealer will increase the holdback money from $1250 (plus $500 GC) to more than $1750, which will make it worth the wait? Also, has anyone in NM, OK, AR or LA gotten an offer cheaper walkout than this? All of these Southern states think it's a good idea to have ridiculously high sales taxes for cars and I'm not about to drive to CO for a few hundred bucks. I really appreciate the help!!

Done deal!!!! Here's the breakdown: 2010 TL w/Tech (grigio with taupe interior) = $35.7K TTL in NM = $1,146 fees to include shipping to NM = $800 Tax in NM is 3% OTD = $37,646 During the deal I was offered the 7yr/100,000 mile/$0 deductable Acura Care for $1,175. Not a bad price but I did not accept, was shooting for around $1,000. Originally looking for 2009. Had a deal on a white w/parchmenrt for $33,400 but was not the color I wanted. So went with the 2010 to have my pick of color. Thanks to all who have posted their prices paid. Invaluable information!!!!
We have only one Acura dealer in our state (NM). We are looking at a '09 MDX + Tech. I'm wondering how much below invoice is considered to be a good deal? Especially with only one dealer to work with.
Well, I dealt with about 4 dealerships in total, all of them were pricing around this range. But I went with Paragon in Queens because they had the color and interior I wanted. I wanted the Black ext with Parchment inside (if you ask me that just looks majestic). If you live in NJ here is what I did. I went online and requested (at the dealership website) via internet for an internet price for the car. Among the multiple quotes, someone will compete and give you a pretty good deal. Then you find out which dealer has the color (interior /exterior) you want. Even if the dealer quoted you a higher price initially if you are serious buyer the dealer will match your lowest offer. (warning : some haggling is involved) Dealerships in NJ : OpenRoad Acura (E.Brunswick), Acura of Springfield, Paragon in Queens and Plaza Mall in Brooklyn
