Re: 2010 Civic Pricing in Los Angeles [phantom71] by legacy87 on Sun Aug 01 23:06:46 PDT 2010

Can you give us the breakdown of the cost? I understand that CA sales tax is a real pain. I read somewhere that 2011 will have the same body style as 2010. Also, if you can't find any good deals around LA, I recommend trying to find dealership 2 or 3h away. I know for VT, none of the local dealers were willing to bargain. So I had to go 150 miles away, which in the end was worth it when I save about $750 from what I would have paid if I were to go to a local dealer. Also, never believe a salesperson when they say, "We got the lowest price. Noone can beat our price." I emailed the local dealer back when I purchased the car $750 cheaper from what they offered. I never got a response back. Take that salesperson!!!

What state and dealer did you go to? It seems the area I am in, NY/VT, some of the dealers are hard to bargain down.

$17500 Out the Door for LX by legacy87 on Wed Jul 07 11:43:12 PDT 2010

Hi, I planning to buy a 2010 LX. The dealer dropped to $17.5k out the door. Do you think this is a fair price in the VT vicinity? Here was the itemized quote: Sale Price: $16,670.00 Documentary Fee: $75.00 State & Local Taxes: $1,000.20 Total License and Fees: $22.50 Total Cash Price: $17,767.70 I still have three weeksso I can still play with dealer. I'm planning to buy at the end of July and since it'll be at the end of the month coupled with the 2011 model looming over their shoulders, you think I can drive down the price to $17-17100?
