Buying a car from a Subaru Car Dealer
I went to Subaru Stamford, it's right off I-95 exit 6. I got in contact with the internet manager using Subaru's website for a quote, here's his email: jdimeglio@SubaruStamford.com (Jonathan) otherwise just go through the website. His price was on point from the beginning, buying a 2010 and last week of month may have helped. Also note that the doc fee was 299 and that may vary by dealer and state so take that in consideration in overall price when comparing locally in VT. Good luck.
Hi joepat711 just noticed your post...where did you purchase your new Forester? I'm in Vt. and can't seem to find a dealer that will budge much on price..A trip to Ct. might be fun.

Could use some good advice. I lease a grey '07 manual Impreza w/custom sunroof. 30K miles w/45K built-in for 36 months. Buyout today is $13,500 and need to buy/trade by 1/6/10. Tires are getting worn and "barely passed" (in the words of the dealer) inspection today, though they told me 3 months ago that I still had 12,000 miles left on them. Should I buy a new set? Trade-in car early (by summer?) It burns me that I may have to replace tires before trading. I drive less than 10,000 a yr now. Live in VT. Is it worth doing an early buy-out? Should I sell privately? I'd like a new BMW convertible next yr--another Subaru if the BMW doesn't manifest! Any advice is GREATLY appreciated--I'm a 1st time leaser. Happy so far but haven't gotten to the trade-in part!
I think Van Bortel is a good place to start. I believe they're a no-haggle dealer in NY.
