2009 Nissan Altima Hybrids -- Good Deals by newhampster on Wed Nov 25 19:44:10 PST 2009

Just bought a new 2009 NAH in New Hampshire, even though NH is not officially one of the 8 states. Current Nissan rebate (Oct. & Nov. 2009) for the '09 NAH is $3,500, and there may be an additional $500 Black Friday incentive. With some negotiating, dealer took an additional $3,000 off the $27,500 base sticker price (not even including their dealer-added transportation, pin-stripping and clear-cote fluff). OTD price (w/o TTL): $21,000. Deduct the $2,350 tax credit and NET = $18,650. That's a lot cheaper than a Prius or even a Civic hybrid! Yeah depreciation is a killer when buying a '09 model in November '09, but I plan to hold on to this car for a while. Standard 100,000 mile battery/EV warranty is reassuring. Although I didn't buy it there because of the distance, I recommend Marc Motors in Sanford, ME to anybody in New Hampshire, Maine or NE Massachusetts. They would have sold me an '09 NAH at an even more competitive price, and they are getting in 2010 NAHs.

Rogue vs. XTerra by lrichards on Thu Mar 20 14:44:35 PDT 2008

I currently have an 05 XTerra. I like the XTerra but would like better mileage. I'm interested in the Rogue, but I have a few concerns. Is there a big difference in cargo space? I need room in the back for 2 sets of golf clubs and push carts. I also want to be able to put my kayak on top and bike on back. I live in Maine so it needs to be good in the snow. I don't do much off road driving other than my dirt driveway and towing is not an issue for me. I like the looks of the Rogue and I'd love to have the sunroof and premium stereo like I had in my old Pathfinder. I'd love to hear from people who have driven both the XTerra and Rogue or have similar driving and space issues.

Re: 2007 SL AWD lease question [dwb959] by dwws on Mon Oct 15 10:21:11 PDT 2007

Hi dwb959 & EBM525: I am in Freehold NJ trying to help my sister lease a 2007. The dealer here is offering this deal; MSRP: $36,900 SELLING PRICE: 33,558.11 MILES PER YEAR: 12,000 TERM: 39 M0NTHS DOWN PAYMENT: $4,500 (THAT SEEMS OUTRAGEOUS TO ME) RESIDUAL: $18,081 MONEY FACTOR: .000330 Now, to the cost they are adding: INCEPTION FEES: $1968.09 ASSIGNMENT FEE: $595 DOWN PAYMENT TAX: $198.35 PAY-OFF OF TRADES FEE: $895 (MY SISTER DOESN'T ***HAVE*** A TRADE-IN!!!) After all this nonsense they are stating the total Cap Cost as$32,214.55 MONTHLY PAYMENT $379 Now, just on the surface of it, it seems that my sister is getting the same deal as you guys are, but she is paying $2000 more for it. Also, what is an :Assignmet Fee" and what is included in these "Inception Costs" and does $1968.09 seem reasonable? Where are you guys located? We are in NJ and I need to find her a no-nonsense dealer who will give her a good price. Please help. Thanks, David
