Unless you really love the exhaust note and dual exhaust on the 3.2, try to find a 2.0T quattro with similar options/packages installed instead. The 2.0T is both faster and more fuel efficient than the 3.2. As to BMW vs Audi, if you want noticeably more performance, get the 335. If you want more 'luxury', go with the Audi. I've accepted that I'm not a street racer or auto crosser and rarely ever 'floor' the throttle in any car. Feature for feature then, Audis make more sense for ME. You need to determine what makes sense for YOUR driving style.
I don't think you comprehend what I posted. my car is not 'mid term' in its lease. I know for a fact that the dealer expects and marks up their Lexus cars 8000 because I was told just that by one of their arrogant sales people. you also didn't comprehend that the Audi dealership and Lexus dealership are owned by the same family. finally I know what the car is worth retail because I have done the research on it. jeez. dealers like this make money on uninformed customers which is why edmunds is included in good research. my thinking may not be accurate but I would bet is very close in this case. regardless I told them that nothing is going to happen unless the numbers work for ME. I am pretty sure that when I went for the test drive they immediately checked out my car. not the first time that happened and likely the reason the salesperson was so hot to change the tenor of the conversation once we returned to the dealer. thanks for your input anyway. I don't mind being wrong as much as I would overpaying or getting ripped off.
Hi bear I am looking to buy an A4 09 in California within the next week. I am looking at a base model A4 2.0 frontwheel drive. Several dealers have contacted me with a car that meets my description. They initally said 30k but are now quoting me out the door around 34k. according to edmunds and truecar, the average price paid for a similar car was somewhere around 30,500k. How did you manage to get such an amazing deal on your car. Would it be ridiculous to start my negotiations at 29k. I am a first time car buyer and am sorta scared by this process. the car i am looking at is 09 A4 2.0t CVT, brilliant black, bluetooth, and audio interface. really minimal package. PLEASE HELP ME.
Carman, Thnaks for reply i decided to go to another dealer beacause your right that was to much money to put down. was able to get a 09 A4 S-LINE PRESTIGE PACK 2.0 3000 OUT OF POCKET CAR MSRP WAS 43,750 SOLD TO ME AT 40,500 36 MONTHS 15K 600 A MONTH INCLUDES TAXES. THE S-LINE MADE THE CARE RIS HIGHER BUT WELL WORTH IT I DID GET LOYALTY DISCOUNT TO. THANKS AGAIN.
