Test Driver Ratings & Comments | |
---|---|
Acceleration comments | Remarkably peppy off the line with aggressive gearing in 1st and 2nd, but 3rd is much taller. Shifter is tight and precise, but a bit of a reach. Clutch uptake is linear and intuitive (no traction control). |
Braking rating | Good |
Braking comments | Good pedal feedback, little dive, good fade resistance. Some front-end wiggle when it was hunting for grip. |
Handling rating | Very good |
Handling comments | Skid pad: Unnatural steering feels like winding a spring rather than pushing hydraulic fluid around, but there's plenty of grip with neutral behavior and a flat attitude. Minimal understeer. (No ESP) Slalom: After killing numerous cones due to bizarre steering feel and response, the car exhibits uncommon neutrality, poise and grip. The steering ruins it, however, and feels "stepped" where 45 degrees of input produces a far different yaw response then say, 48 degrees. |
