  1. Why is my inventory listed on Edmunds.com? How can I get it removed?
Your inventory was provided to us by either your OEM or one of our other inventory partners. There is no cost to be included in our inventory listings. If you do not wish to be listed on Edmunds.com Inventory, contact us.
  2. Why are other listings displaying above mine when my dealership is closest to the search zip code?
Your placement in the Edmunds inventory search results is determined by your participation in an Edmunds.com lead program. PDP is an exclusive, one dealer per territory program. Next, all New Car Leads customers are listed, and are sorted by distance from the shopper. These inventory listings include a button to "Request a Free Price Quote" so that shoppers can submit a lead. Dealers who are not purchasing New Car Leads are listed last, and are sorted by their distance from the shopper.
  3. Why are other dealers listed when shoppers request a price quote on my inventory?
Our lead form lists all dealers who have a VIN that matches the shopper's search criteria.
  4. Why don't my inventory listings have a "Request a Price Quote" button?
Only dealers who are currently New Car Leads customers through one of our lead partners have a button to "Request a Price Quote."

Dealers purchasing leads in a specific coverage area around their dealership (for example 50 miles), will not have a "Request a Free Price Quote" button when their listings are viewed by shoppers outside that area.

If you are purchasing New Car Leads but you are not seeing a "Request a Free Price Quote" button on your listings in your coverage area, please contact your lead partner (you may have reached your monthly lead cap or the consumer may be outside of your specific coverage area).
  5. How can my dealership be highlighted in blue and listed above other listings?
Premier Dealer Program (PDP) offers one dealer per territory the opportunity to be visually highlighted and to have their inventory listings display first. Contact us to become the Premier Dealer in your territory.
  6. Why don't my inventory listings include a phone number or custom messaging?
Only Premier Dealer (PDP) listings include a trackable phone number and the dealer's custom marketing copy. Contact us to become the Premier Dealer in your territory.
  7. How do I upload photos of my inventory?
All photos in the inventory listings are Edmunds.com stock photos. At this time, custom uploads are not available.
  8. My phone number and/or address are incorrect in my inventory listings.
Please contact us to inform us of any errors in your dealership information.
  9. How is my inventory getting updated on Edmunds.com?
Your inventory is provided to us by our inventory partners including Dominion, Homenet and OEMs. Please allow up to 24 hours for inventory changes to show up on our site.
  10. Can I advertise my specials in the inventory listing?
At this time, specials are not a feature available on our inventory listings.
  11. How do I know what vehicle options the consumer selected?
Inventory leads will include the shopper's search criteria and your matching VIN in the customer
  12. If I am currently receiving Edmunds leads, will there be any way to flag those leads that are coming in from the inventory product?
Since all CRM systems are different, we've placed the shopper's search criteria and your matching VIN in the customer comments field of inventory leads. Be sure to check the comments field of all leads for VIN information. Our research shows inventory leads close at a higher rate, and should be prioritized by your internet sales managers.
  13. How will my lead caps be affected with the new Inventory Leads?
We expect our lead volume to increase due to the addition of New Car Inventory listings. Talk to your lead representative to ensure that you aren't missing out on inventory leads due to a low lead cap.
  14. Can I participate in the Edmunds Inventory program with my Used Car Inventory?
No. The Edmunds VIN-based Inventory Leads program is for new cars only.
