Performance
The new 5.0L V8 makes 412 hp and sounds terrific. 0-60 acceleration happens in a quick 5.3 seconds with the quarter-mile covered in 13.5 seconds at 105 mph.
Driving Dynamics
Precise steering with great feel around center and appropriate weighting. Positive, mechanical feeling shifter and a progressive clutch that's not heavy at all. Crisp turn-in and good grip with some moderate understeer.
Ride Comfort
Comfortable ride quality with just a bit of hop on undulating fast freeway sections. Moderate roll stiffness and good compliance.
Quietness
OK quietness for a convertible. There's some wind, road and engine noise, but they're at an acceptable level. While the engine and exhaust sounds are magnificent, the noise from the heating/air conditioning fan isn't so great.
Ergonomics
Good switch feeling and very easy to use and straight-forward operation for most controls.
Visibility
Power bulge in the hood doesn't have too much of a negative effect on forward visibility. Rear pillars create large blind spots with top up.
Seat Access & Space
Front seat is comfortable and sporty-feeling, but snug. Rear seat is tight, but OK for adults on short trips.
Cargo & Storage
Usable trunk, especially for a convertible. Three small suitcases will fit.
Build Quality
No cowl or steering column shake at all in this convertible. Coupelike solidity. Interior materials are appropriate for the price-point.
Convertible
There are two manual latches along the windshield header, but they don't click home with reassuring solidity. Power operation time is slow enough that you need to pull over and park.
